Greetings all.
I have a female green iguana that needs a loving, iguana-experienced home. I am NOT asking any money for her, I just want to find the best place for her.
I would prefer to meet anywhere in the New England area to adopt her out, BUT, I may consider shipping ONLY to an experienced keeper that would be able to see immediate veterinary attention, should shipping not agree with her (I seriously doubt it would harm her, but stress can do amazing things).
She is to be adopted out as a PET ONLY (I don't advocate breeding green iguanas period). Due to her physical deformaties (recovery from a nasty case of previous MBD from her previous owner and living with scoliosis), she cannot tail whip or run but can climb fairly decently and has NEVER offered to bite. This is again why, even if I was ok with iguana breeding, she MUST NOT BE USED FOR BREEDING AS IT COULD KILL HER.
I estimate her age between 8-9yrs and given her previous history, that is highly impressive. Needless to say, she's got quite a number or great yearas ahead of her. She is very social, sweet, potty trained, loves her shoulder rubs and is surprisingly extremely low maintenance for an iguana. I'm just looking for a loving, responsible home where she will be taken care of wonderfully.
You simply couldn't ask for a more perfect pet iguana!
