    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm looking for bamboo that is 4-10+ inches around. Let me know if you have anything.
Thanks,
Blake

Finding anything 8 inches or larger might be difficult to do. Dendrocalamus is about the only genera I am aware of that gets 10 inches or so in diameter, and it is a very cold sensitive tropical form, not normally found in the USA with that kind of size to it. It only thrives in areas that never get below freezing.

Some Phyllostachys species will easy get 4 inches or better, with Phyllostachys pubescens often getting near 8 inches in diameter. Phylostachys vivax reaches 6 inches in diamater pretty easily, but is rather thin walled. Since Phyllostachys is a runner type bamboo and handles colder temps very well, I think if you set your sites lower for desired diameter, you would have better luck finding some. Unfortunately, my groves are still pretty young, so best I have been able to produce so far is about 4 inch diameter culms. Unfortunately squirrels also seem to like Phyllostachys vivax, so they are a real pest affecting production...

Anyway, good luck on your search...

I'm wanting it as big as I can get it to use it for hides for bigger geckos. Like Tokays and large Phelsuma. I figure its going to be a little hard to find but I'm hoping someone will be able to point me to someone that has it.

Thanks,
Blake
