    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am seeking references good or bad for Laura VanAlyne and or Starlight Specialties. Has anyone done business with her or with Starlight Specialties? If you have what were the results, details please. Thanks
 
I have dealt with Laura in the purchase of a female beardie. She was pleasurable to speak with and the transaction went very smoothly. The pic of the dragon wasn't that clear but I took a chance. The animal came better looking than I had hoped and I actually just hatched out a clutch of some great looking babies. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from her again. Thanks, John.
 
I have done business with Laura and she went out of her way to answer my questions and is a very nice person to deal with. I have 2 gorgeous boas and am very happy with my purchase.
 
Mr. Vince pardon me as I am new but aren't calls for references a request for responses from folks who have had personal business dealings with another person?
BTW I am really amazed at your 22 warnings, you sound a lot like my older boy Eric:D
 
True i have never even atempted to buy anthing from starlight specialties, but there is valuable information in the other thread that would help this person on aquireing some feedback.

yep i deserved every warning point I have. but isnt it heathy to get mad every once and awhile.

Vince has indeed provided a link to another thread that includes information about this person. That he is fully entitled to do and this is what the BOI is for. Lucille, being a new member you are probably not aware of that yet.

Glen wants info good or bad, it is there for him to view and decied what he wants to do.

Did anybody even bother to check to see that Glenn's inquiry is almost two years old?

Why would you respond to a two year old inquiry Lucille and not just add your comments to the fresh thread on the first page?

No, posts are not "timed-out" after a period of time. You can post in one at any point in time and it will automatically bring it back again to the top. But I guess you already knew about it as you probably had to use the search function to find and reply to this old post. There is a link in the opening page of the BOI with the "Rules for posting" that you might find useful for future reference.

You responded to both.. but you responded to the latest one first. Why did you go digging for a thread that was 2 years old after already posting in a thread on the front page?
 
I didn't dig, wouldn't know how, am older and not a 'puter person, it was right there...

I, myself, have responded to posts that are 'old", and if you will notice on the "new" thread on this subject, I was first to post the link to THIS (and another) thread.

I'm beginning to think there is a serious case of rabies going around in the herp community... better go get my immunization! :bolt01:
