My husband left for the army and left me with his snakes. We must sell them because he just got stationed in Hawaii.
Okay...here's the story. He bought this male in 2002 as a baby. In 2004 my son had him out and when he put him away, he did not close his tub all the way and he escaped. We looked everywhere for him and after a month or so assumed he was gone. One morning a year and half later, my son was getting ready to take a shower. In the corner of the shower stall was a curled up orange and white thing. At first glance, he thought it was a candy cane....but it was our long lost snake.
He was very dehydrated (obviously) and skinny, but really didn't look too bad for being gone so long.
We warmed him up for a couple of days and tried feeding a pinkie to him. He hit it right away, but didn't have the strength to swallow it. My husband force feed the pinkie to him and he kept it down. We started with pinkies and worked our way up to large mice, but it didn't take long for him to get his strength back. He eats 2 large mice a week and we have never had any issues with him.
His yellow stripes are very faint, probably because of his 'vacation', so you can really only see his orange stripes at first glance.
My husband is really attached to this little guy, but we can't bring snakes to Hawaii with us.
We would prefer for a local pickup and are located in Hershey, PA. Depending on location, I could arrange for a meeting place.
We are asking $275 for him.
Please email for pics and more information.
Thanks!
