I've never seen an Australian water dragon sell for that much. Babies go for up to $75, subadults up to $100, and adults around $150. And that's the most expensive I've ever seen them.

Breed for quality not quantity and you just may see the price.

I don't breed my Australian water dragons, thanks. They're all my spoiled little pets. ;) All personally from Bert Langerwerf himself, so I assure you quality is not an issue. Even my female (with a very rare bright orange belly) was less than half that price.

no kidding, did you see what he was selling his adult breeders for, I believe it was around 250, infact I'm sure of it since I almost bought a few. If you look around aussie water dragons are getting harder and harder to find and with agama international closing you can bet the prices of these beautiful lizards will go up at least a little.

I bought the last 2 males Timo had and they are only listed for $100, born in August 2007. The ads are still up if you're looking, and they have plenty of females left. But I'm not complaining if people are willing to pay that much for AWD's, cause that's more money for me if I plan to breed/sell. I'm just saying you can definately find them a lot cheaper, there's more than enough private breeders established in the US and there always babies available at shows in late summer/early fall.
