In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just noticed that one of my male leos has a bubble under his right armpit. Looks like a sac filled with liquid. It's soft to the touch and similar to when you burn yourself and get those bubbles under your skin. It this normal? I've never seen it on my other geckos though. I have him housed in a 20g tank with a female on playsand and the hot end is at around 80F. Maybe he's not warming up enough? Could this be a respiratory infection? I noticed he sleeps near the bathroom corner so I've been cleaning it daily since then.

I can't afford to take him to the vet because my mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and I spent all my money on her surgery scheduled for next week. Could I just get a syringe and drain out the liquid? Anyone know were I could talk to a vet online for advise?

Thanks.

you don't need to do anything he is just storeing extra fluid and it's no problem but keeping leos on sand in my opinion is a no no

So this is completely normal? I started noticing it on this other armpit today. He looks very healthy and has a thick tail. He's also the most active gecko I've ever owned. He's always up and about and jumps all over the place. Been trying to get him to impregnate my 6+ year old female but haven't had any luck. I got three other males that might do the job. As for the sand thing, I hand feed all my geckos or feed them in a separate bare bottom container in order to avoid impaction.

Isn't this the second time you've posted the same thread?

No. o_O

Maybe someone else posted the same question. I'm going to do a search.

Same thread - there were several responses (Seth's, as well as those by groovygeckos, Drache613, and KelliH) that were lost during the recent server move.

Unfortunately, I don't think that they can be retrieved, so hopefully those people will repost them.

Ahh I see. I'm not getting the emails that notify me if someone responded to my thread either.

Do you have that feature turned on?
Yeah I got two a few days ago saying that Randolf and Seth had responded. Randolf's response was there but Seth's wasn't. I have it set to instant email notification.

Hello

Hello,

I will see if I can remember what I had mentioned. :D
I think I was asking if you had anything in the tank such as a heatrock that could have burned him, or is your undertank heater getting too hot perhaps?
You could drain the area, but you should be careful with the skin as it is pretty fragile & you should have a disinfectant such as betadine handy to clean it in case any blood leaks out.
Has the area improved any at all right now?
It is affecting his behavior at all & is he eating normally?
Does it look like a bite caused from a cricket perhaps, or not?
