    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

WE TALKED ABOUT M/O'S AND PAYPAL ETC...WHEN I ASKED

A DEAL. HE EMAILED ME BACK AND SAID :
200$.  I'LL GIVE THEM BOTH TO YA FOR 300$ !

NOW I'M NO ROCKET SCIENTIST BY NO MEANS, BUT HE HAD THE CARPET LISTED AT 150$, BUT THOUGHT HE COULD GET 200$ FROM ME?  HE HAD THEM LISTED FOR A COMBINED TOTAL OF 280$ BUT THOUGHT HE COULD GET 300$ FROM ME?
WITH THE SHIPPING BEING PUT ON MY ACCOUNT.
THERE WAS NO CONFUSION HERE.

I don't know you but from what I've seen and read here you appear to be a very honest and reputable man. I can say from my dealings with Dave that he is also. On three separate occasions I've sent him animals and had him pay me afterwards at will so I know first hand he is very trustworthy. You stated that there was no confusion in your correspondence but I honestly think that you and Dave were on two different wavelengths. I'm not sure exactly what was said but I don't think Dave is trying to take advantage of you. Maybe he has a wrong price in his ads because both seem very reasonable. There's obviously something wrong because you're right the numbers don't make sense. I'm sure there's an honest explanation if you give him a chance to straighten it out.

I have to agree, sounds like a misunderstanding.  Though I have not yet officially completed a deal with Dave (we have come close on more than one occation), we have corresponded several times and he seems like a very good guy.  I know quite a few people who have had positive dealings with him and I have also read many good things about him on the old BOI as well.

I hope you guys work things out...

After reading both of his ads. The $300 he told was price he had in ad for both shipped meaning he would only be charging you $20.00 for your part of the shipping & he would absorb the rest his first ad reads 0.1  3 1/2 ft Jungle Carpet Python,great color! pounds rats!..$150

Take BOTH with shipping included for $300!! I estimate shipping to be $40 or higher.I have pics of both.Both are healthy,eating and NO mites! I need to move too make room. My loss is YOUR gain!
His second ad just lowered price on Dum but didn't mention shipping being included. Shipping for me just about anywhere overnight is between $40-$65.
Sounds like just some confusion as I have dealt with Dave in the past & had no problems.

Chris is exactly right! I was trying to cut Ben a BETTER deal if he took the Dumeril with the Jungle. I also told Ben I was leaving for work and would contact him when I got off work.
Sooooooooooo he e mailed me about 8 times,told me he'd take em........then comes here and wastes everyones time trying to tell people to be "careful" over a VERY simple misunderstanding that he couldn't wait untill I got home from work to contact him!

Just for the record,if anyone is wondering..You can trust Dave completely..Hell he has a great reputation already without me saying this but..he is a good freind of mine that I have known for years so I'm stepping up to the plate..Dave couldnt screw anyone if he wanted to,,he's just not built that way period...I have been to his house I dont know how many times and his animals are always well fed and in clean cages..He lives and breathes reptiles and will try and help you anyway he can...Watch for Dave in the future,he is a up and coming breeder with a few suprises up his sleeve...And he is without a doubt one of the good guys.......Dont hesitate with Dave or you'll miss out.........................Moe...US.Boid :)

Change your price to $500 for each animal (PITA tax = Pain In The A$&#036<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> and move on. Everyone here seems to understand it was a miscommunication ($hit happens) and he has an edge for whatever reason. Find a new buyer and save yourself the headache.

As I said early on I think this whole issue is ENTIRELY about miscommunication and NOTHING else. Neither one of you deserves to be labeled as a bad guy because of it. If the snakes are still available why don't you just wipe the slate clean and start from scratch. I see an honest buyer and an honest seller that just need to come to terms through better COMMUNICATION! You're both good guys with a simple misunderstanding and in my opinion neither one of you should look at it as being anything more. Ben, if you buy the snakes from Dave and aren't satisfied I'll buy them from you for the costs you have into them! That is including your actual cost to ship them to me. That's how much I believe Dave to be a reputable seller with quality animals. As the saying goes I'm willing to by putting my money where my mouth is.

   It takes a big man to admit he was in the wrong. Even if you did write," you might have jumped the gun" I have 1 son, 3 step children.bills,ect. I cannot afford to get a bad name. That's why I go out of my way to make my customers happy. That's also why you'll not see any bad post about me. I will not misrepresent or sell sick animals.
 As I stated before,I was trying to give you all the info I could & get out the door to go to work. I ask you to wait and I'd reply as soon as I got home.
I think the snakes are sold. I do not have any money as of yet.If they are not sold..........their yours.
