    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wish I had the room I love these they are col as shit so much personality!They dont take anything from any one ha ha Nice animal she is well worth what you have her selling for she should sell fast good luck! Rusty I had a common snapper everyone told me was a ali but it was just a common ;{

don't they bite you if you get near? How can you keep them as pets? I picked up a normal one in the wild of N.C. and that thing was mean!! It bit both my pitbulls and the pitbulls were scared of it because it was frantic and vicious and snapped faster than Bruce lee.

Are captive bred ones like that and snap? I really like the alligator snappers. Cool as hell

i had one for 10 years and it snapped anytime you got near the tank. i dont think being captive bred is going to change anything.

I've kept common snapping turtles on and off for more than 20 years. I've been researching the needs and natural history of alligator snappers for about a decade, and I now keep several. Alligator snapping turtles are actually very easy to handle. Their neck is very short. Also, they tend to be MUCH more shy and calm than common snappers. In my experience, being captive bred doesn't change much, it really seems to depend upon the individual animal. If an animal is snapping at people as they pass the cage, it is most likely out of a feeding response. They are rarely defensive until touched.

Despite their size, alligator snappers are actually very easy to keep. But, there's no room for fear when you handle them. You have to be confident. I've found them to be rather shy and sweet...until you pick them up.

I have one question for the original poster...at this size, how are you determining sex? I'm interested in her if she's still available.

hello,im determining the sex as a female because her vent is closer to the edge of her shell and her tail is shorter than my males in her size range.
