• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Stupid question about karma...

I know this is an insanely stupid question, but is there any way to see who left you karma?

After hovering over your Karma green light I see you are "of an unknown quality" which means you are sitting at zero. Your Karma when left will be visible on your User CP under your subscribed threads. Until you are a contributing member the identity of the Karma giver/taker will be unknown unless they identify themselves in their comment.

Well then...

I'll add my silly question to the pile :)
You said only paying members can leave it, right? Well, I'm curious... how do you leave Karma? One of my buyers asked me the other day and I went through the FAQ and am still coming up short!
Thanks!

On each post, under the usericon and information, there should be a small icon of a pair of scales (the weighing kind, not the snake kind) between the green light that indicates online/offline and the 'report post' icon. Click that.

you do NOT have to be a paying member to LEAVE karma.. just to be able to see who left it for you..

TRADER RATINGS, you MUST be a paying member to leave.

Ahh...

Thanks also to everyone who offered information regarding Karma, it answered all my questions and helped immensely! You guys are great!

I have a stupid Karma question... I've gotten Karma with a green box next to is, I assume this means it's positive karma. What does a grey box mean?

Once you've hit 100 post's and you are in the green so-to-speak, then you will be able give positive as well as negative karma. The grey usually means that the karma giver either doesn't have the post count or not enough green to spread around.
