In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Selling my Female Carpet Python. Purchased at a reptile show in 2005, roughly 6-7 feet long. Eats very well. A bit of a warning, she is aggressive and will occasionally bite.
I am looking to sell her and her enclosure which is a 56 gallon tall tank with stand. Please contact me with questions.

I am located outside of Chicago, IL. However, I am willing to drive a bit to get her to a good home.

Hey Scott-

PM me a price for just the snake. We can discuss details then.

Thanks.

Friendly advice

She might not be happy with her humidity. Carpets need a High humidity, which would be near impossible with mesh tops. That said, your have a nice looking snake.

shoot me a price for her Im in Peoria IL and really miss having carpets.

ohyeahnow- appreciate the advice, I have had no indications that the humidity is too low, so I have not been overly concerned. I should check more often though, thanks.

Mesh top, hot heat lamp which drys out humidity and a small water bowl thats almost empty with what little water in it being dirty and poop in the cage on the substrate. i'd say you have a humidity problem along with some others. a 56 gallong high is roughly what 3 to 3 and a half foot long? and you have a 6 to 7 ft python in it. i see alot of reason why this girl bites alot. shes a nice looking girl so if you dont sell her change her living arrangements and i am sure you will have a gentle beast you can enjoy handling.

I know the cage doesn't look great, I had just go back from a longer weekend away, thus the feces and low water level. However, I am aware that I am not taking care of her to the best of her needs (her set up, lamps, etc) , and that is part of why I am selling her.

i'm not busting your chops so i hope you dont take it that way. im just trying to let you know how you could possibly calm her down. shes a very nice looking girl and if i had the money right now id take her with no problem. i have a coastal female about the same size as her now that i cant wait for one of my males to get to age and size to put with her. you have a nice coastal. wish i could afford her at the moment, id pick her up lol i have a 6ft empty abs plastics cage she would fit right into.

My apologies to the OP for this disruption, but

Funny, that's how I took it...especially after seeing this:

What is wrong with some people?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ran across this ad today on fauna. why would someone attempt to try and sell something with poop in the cage, dirty water, not properly set up for the reptile he has in it and imo a 56 gallon high is a bit small for a 6 to 7ft coastal python. how is he keeping up humidity? he cant be lol

My apologies to the OP for this disruption, but

well...at first it was about busting them, but then after considering he may not really know how to take care of it or putting it into perspective that there could be a reason that it looks as if it did and forgot about the long holliday weekend i had to rethink things and instead of bust his chops perhaps try to help him out. i jumped the gun on this one and i take all responsibility for it. when i jump the gun or am wrong i can man up to it with no problems. and since you like to follow people around it appears lol post this statement i just made back over there also =)

Actually, I was only there looking for something I had seen a while back....sadly, I didn't find it.

To your credit, you did change your approach. And to the seller's credit, he recognizes that he isn't able to offer the snake the care it deserves, and is trying to remedy that. to both.
Again, my apologies for the interruption. Good luck with the sale!

hhmoore, no apologies needed.

xana- I dont mind getting called out on it, I know how it looked. However, to try to save face, the cage was cleaned after the picture was taken and I have a humidifier in the room. But I do think the humidifier is doing the job and I do not have a large enough set up and I dont have enough cash to get an enclosure that she needs. 3 strikes, thats why I want her to go to a good home

No appoligies needed. i am the one that should appoligize to the OP for jumping the gun and i am sorry for that. i tend to forget not everyone can properly care for many different species other than what they're use to having. carpets are about the only ones i know how to care for. so i would be in the same situation with a different species.

sorry op for jumping the gun and i hope she sells. shes a very nice looking girl.
