In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You do know boas are illegal in New York right. Dont let the wrong person see this post. Just dont want to see a fellow herper in trouble thats all.

actually thats not true.NEW: As of 1/1/05, NY now prohibits Reticulated, Burmese, African Rock, and Amethystine pythons, anacondas, and Nile, water, black-throat, white-throat, and croc monitors.

boa constrictors and other smaller pythons are still legal..there just not sold in the typical pet stores.

thank you for the look out.. i thought they were illegal too but then i thought if they were illegal then why would they be sold at the White Plains Show lol

Ok, well news for me, and thanks for the update guess Im a few years behind on NY laws, although I am from Maryland.

The NYC laws are more restrictive than NYS laws.
The City's used to go on size limit (I think it was 6 ft, but I'm not sure - it's been a long time since I cared), BUT that was then.
NYC Health Code prohibits the sale, possession, and keeping of a number of animals, including:
any member, or hybrid offspring of the family Boidae,
including, but not limited to, the common or green anaconda and yellow anaconda; any
member of the family Pythonidae, including but not limited to the African rock python,
Indian or Burmese python, Amethystine or scrub python

see Health Code § 161.01 Wild animals prohibited., section (b)(10)

Regarding the legality of sales at the White Plains show - Bruce adheres to the State law, but White Plains isn't under the jurisdiction of NYC Health Code

You may want to call the health department and ask them for the most recent revision for that article since there is no date print. Not saying this one isnt right, it is from the offial web site but who knows how often they update.
