In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i wish they would have been this price a couple days ago before i bought a couple others! good luck with the sale!

I very rarely post, but you're question (Is it really this bad) caught my eye. I know this isnt the place for this so I will keep it brief. YES, it really is that bad. As Pathetic and unfortunate as it is. If anyone knows how to put this aargument in a thread, please do so, and let me know where it is, I would be interested to hear what others have to say. Good luck Byron

Thank you for the reply . I got into this last year to turn a little cash into a small business, not just snakes but also all type of feeder rats, mice and insects to initially sell local then hopefully the internet. With being divorced and my kids schedule ( I have them half the time ) its impossible to have a second job and Im drowning without one and these little guys seem to be my slowly leaking life raft. As well I am sure others are in the same boat and good luck to you and us all !

It might be because alot of people are saving up for daytona, I know if you would have posted this a month and half ago I would have paid close to your original asking price.

This has nothing to do with people saving up fo daytona, its been goin on for months now. Back in April I had one of several litters of albino boas. Took them to a show and they were holding at $450 avg. I said someone offer me $200 ea. wholesale lots and turned it down. In June they were at the show for $225-275 and werent moving, In July they were at the show for $170, and 2 weeks ago a friend bought some for $80. How pathetic is that.

Harsh reality is the market is flooded with animals and shows, with new shows popping up every day, in an already horrible economy. This is affecting every aspect of the reptile trade. People with these animals are getting scared and are in need of cash to survive and are dropping their prices just to move animals.

I on the other hand, have decided to hold out. I figure at the current rate of depreciation on boas and balls, come the end of the year I will have albino boas and cornsnakes side by side ($25 each). Who would have ever thought

Yes, the market for BP's is in Bad Shape!

Honestly, the color seems to be way off in the pictures. You should try and get some better pics and update the thread.

You also just signed up on Fauna in Aug 09' and a lot of people are afraid to purchase animals from sellers that are not well known, and who have positive feedback on the BOI.

Best of luck with your sale.

1. Get better pictures
2. Set your price at market and leave it there
3. Stop looking so desperate nothing says "run away" as much as desperation.

They will sell fine. The market is slow this year -- during show season which is for the next month more people are looking to buy at the shows -- but it doesn't suck.

Good luck.

Byron,
Your new title seems to be inspiring discussion, and this really isn't the place for it.
If people want to continue this, please start a thread in the discussion forums.

MY OFFSPRING IS HATCHING NOW & IM GOING TO HOLD ON TO ALOT OF THEM & GROW THEM UP SOME,HOPEFULLY THE MARKET WILL RETURN AS THE ECONOMY HOPEFULLY WILL BUT AS ITS LOOKS NOW ITS NOT TURNING AROUND TILL 2010 ELECTION TILL PEOPLE GET SOME HOPE.

It has more to do with low quality pictures than market conditions. I can't even tell for sure that it is a super by those pics.

And whoever said that they saw albino boas for under $100 is either a liar or a fool.
