I've made an interesting abservation on the subject. One of my hatchling BP's from Oscar and Maia's clutch refused to eat, and I tried just about everything (f/t or live, mice or rats, pinks or pups, etc etc). None of the other hatchlings gave me issues, and they were set up in the same way (hatching rack), I was at my wits end when I enlisted the help from a fellow mod at another forum I frequent who has had luck with this issue. She set it up in a 10 gal aquarum and within 24 hrs she had the little bugger eating a f/t fuzzy mouse! I was flabbergasted

I had the same problem with one of my gray rat snake hatchlings, and I was thinking, maybe a drastic change in environment would spur interest, so I did basically the same thing, and within two hours, the gray rat had eaten a live pink mouse that I set in the aquarium at the same time!!
So, if you have a non-feeding hatchling and feel like you've hit a brick wall, this trick might do the job
