For Local Sale/Trade:
3.1 Baby Dumerils Boas, approximately 2 months old. Captive bred and born August 26th 2009. These babies come from outstanding adults (sold as “screamers” when they were neonates) that have retained the two most desired traits in Dumerils: Beautiful contrasting markings and lasting red/orange/pink highlights. The father (Hermes, pictured) is about 4 years old and is very light for an adult. The mother (Aphrodite, pictured) is about the same age, and a little darker but with amazing red/orange/pink coloration to her. The babies took the best of both worlds and came out light, with amazing patterns, and nice pinks/oranges.
All babies are guaranteed healthy at time of sale/trade. Three of the babies have eaten right from the get-go (“Lumix”, “Zeus”, and “Charlie”). One of the others (“Farva”) took a little longer, but is now taking live rat pups with gusto and will soon be on frozen/thawed like his siblings.
Additional photos available on request. Babies are $125. Baby boas come with their Rubbermaid shoebox, bedding, feeding record and care sheet. This is our first time breeding boas, and we really want to make sure they go to good homes. We are not professional breeders, and these are the only babies we have so all of our time and attention has gone into them. Parents and babies available for viewing/handling prior to sale/trade this weekend (11/15) at the Southern Virginia Reptile Expo in Chesapeake, VA.
Any questions? Please feel free to ask! Can deliver within a reasonable distance of the Hampton Roads area. Interested in trades for large boa cage (to separate and prevent mom and dad from getting too friendly again
), or nearly any other reasonable offer.
***EDIT: I apologize for not clarifying earlier, but I cannot ship these animals for two reasons. First, I am not certified, and two, I have never shipped before and don't want the first time to be in cold weather (I wouldn't be comfortable doing it).***
***Babies sexed this morning. "Charlie" is the lone female of the group***
