I just ordered 3 baby tokays through Exotic Pets earlier this week. I gave them my address. They were shipped out Thursday for a friday delivery. The reason I chose that is because I all day during the week except Fridays I figured, I can be here to accept the package.
They wrote my zip wrong. instead of 45036 they put 45306. I get a call from fedex friday morning saying they fixed it but the package was in transit. I was on the line with fedex all day yesterday and the package somehow wound up in Indianapolis. I cant go there and pick it up--i tried. it's just a facililty where packages are dropped off and then picked up and thats' it.
So now I wont get the package till monday. the geckos if not dead by this point will be by then. I dont see how fedex messed up--this is clearly Exotic Pet's fault for writing my zip wrong. I told the person over the phone my address and zip and they said it back to me again to confirm and said "45036" both times for my zip.
what recourse do I have here? Fedex said when I get the package to open it immediately and if the geckos are dead to refuse the package.
