In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here are my dealings with Edward Haste "edhastereptiles", I put a deposit on 2/16/10 a great female bearded dragon. Link: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165663

I sent the remaining amount of the money owed on this female on the 26th of February. Ed told me that it would be ok to ship out on Monday. I have a FedEx so I sent him the shipping label for the girl. Long story short. FedEx delivered the girl a day late because of the storm. When I opened the box she was super cold. I pulled her out and she was limp. I stuck her in warm towels to see if it wasn't too late for her. Unfortunately she was gone. I took pics of the deceased dragon.

I contacted Ed and he stated that "sorry i cant refund the money, you need to contact fed-ex that was overnight service ,they should have delivered yesterday, after 2 days the heat pack quit working it was only ment for 1 day."

What breeder puts only a 1 day heat pack in the middle of winter for that reason. I told them that "live arrival is a guarantee and that fedex/ups does NOT guarantee animals whatsoever, otherwise everyone would be claiming dead animals." I haven't heard back from him yet.

Do you have the e-mail where he states that?

Even thought fed ex didnt deliver the package on time, should Ed have checked the weather reports? how long have you been shipping ed?

If anything it should be a 40 hr heat pack. I am sorry to hear that you received a dead animal and the seller is being to stubborn to do anything about it. Just seems like he put the blame on fed-ex and left it at that!

Only scumbags place the blame on the shipping agent and leave the customer high-and-dry.

If you can produce emails confirming this I would say that Edward Haste is a scumbag.

Hi Ed,
I sent the final payment. Is it ok to ship her out Monday? Let me know so I can send you the shipping label. All you have to do is drop the box off at a fedex location or I can have them pick it up at your house. Let me know.

Thanks, Renae King

Do you still have the tracking number and where it was sent from? Would be interesting to know where he dropped it off at and where it got delayed.

Where is he located? I see you are in California and your temps were ok for shipping. How sad that such a beautiful animal perished. I agree that the tracking number would be useful to know.

Here is a screen shot for everyone on the tracking information from the fed ex page.

if its only been delivered yesterday and you paid with paypal/cc then file a claim on him to lock his account till something if figured out.

Ok, 1st - This sucks! I have been holding off on shipping until temps and forecast comes back to where I feel ok with shipping out or receiving for that matter. 2nd - Ed do you have a website with terms of service on it? While many breeders state that they are not responsible for carrier delays, most will at least work with the buyer to figure something out (discounts on the next purchase, etc.). Without this statement you did not hold to your end of the deal and deliver a live animal.

Rich - Unfortunately Paypal will not do anything for her unless Ed's account has money currently in it. I went through the runaround with Paypal about a year ago regarding payment for snakes that never arrived. Their representatives told me that their buyer protection ONLY applies to Ebay purchases. You should still file a claim but know that you may not get anywhere. I still use paypal but when I pay I use a credit card through paypal and then file a claim with my card company should anything happen (this is what I ended up doing last year).

Ed - I/we anxioulsy await your justification for shipping when temps where so low with only a 1 day heat pack? Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Actually I think I've seen more situations lately, than ever, where paypal won't even bother to take any complaints into account as long as a tracking number proving arrival of the package is provided. Seems like as soon as they see that info they say it's not on them to try to get your money back any more.
