In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Venomoid Cobra offered to me. Do I take it?

Should I take it it is an adult king I dont know much about venomoids I would still treat it hot. Should I take it. HE is free to me. But I wonder what the survivability rate is on a venomoid. ( I DIDNT DO IT TO HIM) Just do they live long like this? should I just abandon it? they dont know how to care for snakes and he is being neglected.

Opinions needed

Who cares if someone hacked it up. If the snake needs rescued and you know how to handle hots and a KING at that then yes I would rescue it. There is a difference in payiong for a void and taking one in as a rescue.

A snake is a snake it is not it's fault that it was hacked.

But again I say only take it in if you know what you are doing. a King is not an easy animal to care for. They are very touchy...... But I can get you in contact with some very good people that can help get the animal back to health if you really want that.

If no infection set in after the surgery then the animal should be fine. It should not effect it helath wise if it was done correctly but again that is an if also.

If you do go through with it treat it hot always.

But never blame the snake. It needs help.

The only hots I know are C. Atrox He seems healthy and agile and sure of him self. They said his surgery was over a year ago. He is a bit more intimidating than a loaded rattler. And as far as I know he may still be loaded. I have heard of hack jobs that didnt work and the "void" turned out to still be hot.

To tell you the truth if all you have dealt with is Buzztails it may not be smart to take on. A King is totally different. They are more on edge. Totally different care. And like said treat it like it is hot. No matter what. Just think of it as hot.

You say they dont know how to care for snakes and he is being Neglected but it is Healthy?

Over all yeah He seems more than okay. The reason I said that is water bowl empty and light on all of the time no hide and he is on newspaper.Dirty with two old sheds on it

I am not being mean so please know I am just trying to help.

When I look at a snake that needs rescued i do not look at if it is a void or a hot or a corn or whatever. It is a snake needing help.

Then I look at can I care for this animal and give it what it needs. And can I handle it. If not I would find someone that could and get the animal help.

IMO only dealing with Westerns I would say that I would find a person that could help the snake or help you help the snake.

IMO you are being very responsible researching this before you say yes - sounds like a lot to take on, maybe the Snake Museum would be best (presuming it's a live, not stuffed-style museum!)
