    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I made this because my red tailed boas outgrew their 72qt racks. I picked the brute because its solig thick and can handle the heat pad. The entrance is made from the lattuce trip for decking from home depot. The screen door is 3 screens thick so nothing can push through it. And the whole lid is screwed on and permanent. It will lay on its side on a cradle type rack i'm making for it to give the max amount of floow space.

I only have one so far. I'm making 2 more next payday. It cost me 50 bucks to make them.

Are you kidding?That has no floor space for a boa and they need a flat floor to move around.And to clean you got to get a screw driver.Id hate to be your boas get treated like trash.

unless you use mulch then you can fill it to the bottom of the door, which would get it a bottom/floor & depth to hid in the mulch, a bottom floor of some kind and u'd lose room in the can.
I think it is very creative & cool looking (i like industrial look)

Wow i'm so glad you know everything about the setup and make helpful comments. First off there is more floor space then the 72qt tubs that they were in before. And there is also a climbing log for them to perch on which they do. I replaced all the screws with wing nuts and i put them on the face for easy cleaning. These are not adult boas so there is more then plenty of room for them. When they get too big for this i will build them something else.
This was just a little project i wanted to try. By the way this can is huge. The pictures don't do it justice.

And i dont treat any of my snakes like trash.

You obviously faild to read the post. The can lays on its side. Way more then enough floor space for a 3 foot long snake. And there is about 6 inches of aspen bedding.

You can replace the hardware cloth with the green plastic coated hardware cloth, They have held-up to tegus with out cutting up their noses, so it would work for snakes

something that I see.. .and it may have been covered already. You have the trash can lid screwed on. Do the screw proturde into the interrior? Will the boa be able to hurt itself on the screw tips?

Nope the screws whent through the lip around the edge of the cage. But i changed it to make it easier to clean. I put bolts with wingnuts across the flat face of the front.
