Thanks for your reply. 2 years ago, we did eventually find a breeder about 6 hours from us. It was a farmer's wife that bred ACDs for a working farm. We made an overnight family trip to go and pick out a puppy, and we now have a just over 2 y/o male (neutered) purebred ACD. Our family can't imagine having any other dog for a pet. He is a real sweetheart. I am attaching a picture so you can see what he looks like.

Nice looking dog! I always liked the ACDs ever since I worked at a vet clinic where one of our customers was a breeder. He's got cool eye patches, too.


(I'm going to pretend I didn't see the electronic collar though... :raspberry )

That's for the invisable fence. He trained easily to it, and now he has free range of our entire yard without us having to worry that he will run out into the street.
