In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi there!

I purchased two baby female Mojave BPs from Hardy Reptiles at the Los Angeles Reptile Super Show on August 7th, 2010, and I cannot figure out how to get a hold of them. Their website redirects to kingsnake.com and any other references I have found online to Hardy Reptiles points at a place in New England, but I remember them mentioning being local to Arizona, and I have seen their name on a few vendor lists for local West Coast herp shows.

Does anyone know if they are still in business and/or how to get a hold of them?

One of the two Mojaves I purchased has not eaten at all. I am very concerned for her, and wanted to find out if they were having problems with her prior to the show, but I can't find a way to contact them. The other eats without a problem, but I'm def worried about this girl who is refusing food..

Has anyone had interactions with this company? Positive? Negative?

Any info would help! Thanks!

Never heard of em... But; the time is now to try live; rats, mice, with daylight, without, at night; early morning; try more hides; then no hides, newspaper; then wood products; more humidity; then less, make a super hot spot of 95 degrees plus; maybe find an asf for backup.... Etc etc etc for days on end!!! Hate to say it; but some bps are do not like relocation!! Pm me for a plethora of hints if needed... May wanna google assist and forcefeeding if she's at the point of almost no return... These are the dark secrets nobody like to chat about, but they happen!!

I have tried live, mouse hoppers and baby rats and rat hoppers, diff sizes, all live, tried in darkness, in a box, or on the shelf with the other snakes, tried leaving overnight, tried a few hours at night, and a few hours in the morning. Tried no hides and with hides, but I don't use wood products, i use paper towels, have a nice hot spot, and good humidity... I'm about to try assist feeding her today, as I've tried so many ways already and she's just ignoring it... sometimes she sniffs it, but never ever strikes at all!

Right on... Sounds like you got it licked... I meant no offense; baby bps can be lovely at times!! I call em burger kings!! Gotta have it their way over here!! Lol..

Hehe! No worries! I didn't take offense! I have two other babies I'm working on as well from my own hatchings that are driving me up the wall too! They just don't seem like the want it... and on the other hand, I have this monster of a bumblebee baby boy who i hatched out a few months ago that eats like a PIG... even if he's not the first to get his food, he's the first to strike and coil... I wish they could all be like him ;)

I am only trying to get a hold of them or see if anyone knows more about Hardy Reptiles so that I can contact them to see if they had some specific "trick" that got her to eat before, or maybe she needs ASF? I would hate to think there is something that has worked with her before and I'm just not doing it, you know? :)

Susan Hardy might still have her old phone #. I have her business card, but the number might be out of date. Hardy Reptiles are very nice people. The # I have for her is 702-544-1265. It's a Nevada #, and they've been in Riverside CA for some time, and she told me a couple weeks ago that they'd just moved again. Anyway, try that number. Good luck to you. Oh, and tell her I gave you the number if she asks.

I realize this is an older thread, but I thought it would be better to post here than starting a new one. I bought a very young male normal ball python from Hardy Reptiles at the San Diego show in 2010 (last year) and had a really good experience with them. The gentleman I talked to was very nice and helpful (it was my first bp), and patient with me while I tried to figure out which snake I wanted.

The snake we bought was calm and obviously well taken care of, and a great eater. The only time he's turned down a meal was for a couple of weeks over the winter time, but has since returned to his normal eating habits. I would definitely buy from Hardy Reptiles again!

Here he is, a little over 2 feet long (if I can find pictures of him when we first got him, i'll post them)
