• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was notified by another user that The Veiled Chemeleon has been using my photos of my animals for their sales although they do not have possession of a single animal of mine. She was able to provide proof of this with an email she received from them. I have written an email to them asking them to stop but seeing has how they are doing it via sending emails to individuals who contact them about animals rather then having an add up with my photos (to my knowledge) I feel a post on here was also needed. They had contacted me about buying animals from me about a month to two months ago and never sent me payment, but, did ask for pics of my animals. These people obviously cannot be trusted even for correspondence as they steal photos for their own use. They were flaky for buying animals from me and kept saying they would send payment out and never did so I stopped contact with them.

Be careful with these people!

I just received this email so hopefully everything will get worked out okay. -

It was just brought to my attention of several things going on here that I was unaware of. I received a phone call from another customer of about something I had not a clue about. I then go to our office and start going thru emails to find emails from you and several others that were either going un answered or in your case photos being used. This is not a practice that I use and its not something my employee should of used. So I really apologize for these problems. I give the people here some leeway to work with customers on prices but not to pull the wool over a customers eyes and pass something off like we have. Please give me a call so we can discuss this over the phone and I would like to apologize over the phone again and not in email. Call me at 800 385 4050

Thank You Steve

Just talked to Steve over the phone and he assured me this was not something he was aware of and an employee of his had been doing this. He seemed genuine in not knowing that this had been going on. So, I have no current complaints about The Veiled Chemeleon.

Thanks

Next time you should get all his BS in writing ... people who DON'T want a paper trail of their lies to exist will often insist upon phone conversations.

Since they contacted you about making a purchase and asked you for photos of your animals, do you honestly think it was a "mistake" that your photo(s) ended up on their website? Not.

Do a little research here and you'll see they (he and his partner, Karin Lieber) have a history of excuse-making, bad deals, unhappy customers and poor customer service.

I got that same email from them. I have purchased from them before and received a gorgeous female pastel. But the animal that they sent to me (which was yours) I wanted so bad I could cry! LOL (thankfully you have it and they did not sell it nor ever had it and now it is mine) :)

anyways they are not too horrible yes flaky alot sometimes I just felt betrayed and Im kinda scared to buy from them again. they have good prices though...... this was not necessary

Steve is full of $hit. The only "employees" are him and Karen Lieber. They are scam artists and thieves. They have ripped off many. They deliberately misrepresent their animals. See other threads in this forum.

And maybe ask the mod's to correct how you spelled "chameleon" in the thread title. Otherwise, it won't come up on all searches for them.
