In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i have listed on several, that i was the only seller, i dont think any one used them, web slave think about it , you have alot of people on this site, that want to buy , and alot who want to sell why dont you or some one get some thing good going, like herpauction used to be

Gene,

I bought rats from you in the past. Good stuff! I really miss herpauction, it used to be a great place to visit but I don't go there anymore. I think your idea is great and I don't know if Rich could do something about it. An auction with the BOI backing it up would certainly be an excellent addition to this site.

Guys...You have no idea what a good idea that is...BUT...Why don't we put that idea on the back burner for awhile and give Rich a chance to put THIS site back together again! He was just bombarded to the Nth degree...the LAST thing he needs right now is MORE WORK and another outflow of $$$. Let's concentrate on one problem at a time for now, OK?? See you guys at the show! And DINNER!! ....Neil

Hey, I think Mike Greathouse(??) once tried to start his own reptile auction website. I have no clue if its still going or not. Hey Mike, if your still out there let us know!
Even if its not still going, maybe now's the time to try again.

About a year ago I became so fed up with the lack of any kind of service from HerpAuction, that I stopped all business with them. I tried to support another auction called Reptile Auction, but they could never get any traffic generated. The only animals for sale there were mine. It's a shame, because they had a really nice site. I think something here could really work, but it's going to require an investment in time for someone. After the fall of HerpAuction - yes I refer to them in the past tense, I may have made mention to a couple of people that I would like to see an alternative, but I just don't have that kind of time to offer.

Mike Greathouse...

everyone agrees that herpauction is about gone, where has it gone
i haveseen 75 -100 snakes on it & most had bids on them, i sold 25 lots of 6 turtles in one week, where are those buyers now it had a good following at 1 time , i dont think all those people quit with reptiles, if we can get them back to a good site it will help buyers & sellers
i posed some stuff on an auction called bid- 4-it, site went down the first week & is still down
mike , it might be time to try again

I miss Herpauction, too, we did rather well on it about a year and half, two years ago. But, like many of you said - their customer service was the pits - and I don't even want to talk about the billing! Would love to see another good auction, someday.

Good Morning,
There is a Reptile Auction at Zoo Forum Free Auction It might not look pretty, but it is new, and it's free.

Wormman,
Thanks for the heads up on the new reptile auction site, but I went there, and there was almost nothing up to bid for. If I had something to sell right now I would try to help get the ball rolling on this new site. All it would take is several of us who used to buy, and sell on herpauction to start supporting this site. Eventually it would catch on. People have been dissatisfied with herpauction for so long now that this new site has huge potential. Hell, I might even buy some snakes just to sell on there to get things started. LOL. Anyway, I think if we all got behind it it would take off with flying colors. Thanks for your time, and have a nice day.

Thanks Corey Sawyer I'll try it.

I know dau and I have for years , I have had many dealing with him and yes I have let him owe me money ($1,750.00)and we set up times to pay and he ALWAYS paid on or before the due date,I know that he and his wife had twins about the time you are talking about so maybe that is what happened?

Thanks! Use ours or Corey's. It doesn't matter to me. We just wanted to create a free service. It is slow in building up, but we will keep supporting it. Let me know if you would like to see categories added.
Thank you.

I dont know how I feel about auctioning my animals that I produce ......... To me and this is just my opinion right or wrong, I think in a sense it downgrades the quality of the animals you produce. If you are mass producing or you are an importer I could see it or where you get an animal from an outside source, but with an animal I produce ......... I dont know. Maybe I am too new to the business end of things and I still look at some things in an idealic type manner, but this is how I personally feel about it. If it works for others and thats what everyone wants I wouldnt knock it but I dont think I would participate unless I got in some animals on a trade or I just really wanted to get rid of the animals, like I did with my amazon tree boa adults and babies this year.

I got a very interesting email this evening I thought you folks would like to know about! It was from:
Keith Blatt
ReptileAuction/Auction Webmaster
www.reptileauction.com

asking me to take a look at his NEW AUCTION SITE!! I went there to look around, and, I gotta tell you...it was VERY impressive! Granted, it's brand new, so there are only 3 items listed, but...if enough of you want an auction site that you can get in on, on the ground floor....this looks like the place to try! It's called:

Enjoy....Neil
