In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well he really isn't mine but for now i say he is. Basically the story is My buddies lesser Got an RI and he doesnt really know how to care for it. So i took the liberty of nursing it back to health. Plus my buddy is going through some personal life experiences and doesnt have a place or the time that this poor guy deserves.. So what would u guys say?

I am taking all the necessary precautions to make him better. Antibiotics, warmer temps and keeping him hydrated. The only thing he wont do for me is eat. But i am not gonna force him as he is at the breeding age and producing plugs so this could be the reason why. And he goes back to the Vet next week to check his progress.

At first he got worse but with all the right choices he seems to be getting better. No more mucus from the nose or mouth, clear breathing. The only thing is he opens his mouth about 10 times a day but it doesnt stay open. Crazy thing is after the anibiotics he did Vommit ALOT of Mucus, Which reminds me i gotta remind the vet of that.

ALso he is two rooms away from the rest of my collection.

So what do u guys think? Anything i am doing wrong? Anything else i should do? He is a gorgeous snake and cant wait for his future in my breeding projects!

He is currently in shed.

One more question. At the tip of his eyes there is this orange rust looking stuff. I was wondering what could this be? The vet didnt really adress this at the visit. I will try my best to get it in the pics.

Sounds to me like your doing everything right? He will eat when he is ready. I have seen sick snakes eyes swell up like they were going to explode but his just looks like his natural eye color? Good luck with him!

Well the pics if after i cleaned it up. An i think he might be shedding soon cause u can see eye caps.
Hey Joe should i have it at a certain humidity in his enclosure? I am debating on it cause of his RI But figure he needs it cause of him shedding.

That could go either way? Many R.I. articles say low humidity and some say high. I have one that I had high humidity on, antibiotics, soaked him every day and nebulized him and he wasn't getting any better. I put him on paper with a hide box and water bowl and have been leaving him alone and he seems to be getting better? I think a lot of R.I.'s are caused by stress? Well the more you mess with him giving him shots and cleaning the mucus out the more stressed he gets. It's really a little trial and error. Try something for a few weeks and if it isn't working try something else but deffinetely keep him on paper or paper towels and fresh water every few days. High temps and a hide box! Keep me updated!
