    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a female that just layed eggs. Yay! Right? ...NOPE! They are nearly two weeks early. She ovulated on 3-26 and had prelay shed 04-12. I've never had this happen before.

This female is a witch. She is always frightened and in kill mode it seems. I looked at her for maybe 30 sec last night, and I woke up to eggs this morning. The eggs look... different. The shells appear thin, and I can see that they are fertile without candling. I've wrote on big letters on her record "DO NOT TOUCH WHEN GRAVID". Guess her cage will have to stay dirty after ovulation.

I've put the eggs on top of the vermic. for now. I'm not sure if partially burying them will allow too much moisture to be absorbed or not.

Has anyone had this happen? Do these little ones have hope?

Wow, that IS early. I'm afraid that I can't offer any advice from experience. Just incubate and hope for the best. Even if you usually cut all of your clutches (like I do), I would not cut this one, as they made need a little longer to incubate?? Not sure about that, but I wouldn't take the chance. Since you can see veins, I would think that you at least have a chance.

Keep us posted, and good luck with them!!

Pictures would definitely help to prove they are not slugs. But its very possible she ovulated earlier than that and you missed it. As far as prelay shedding, it is only a suggestion of when they will lay. Some females will be gravid and shed multiple times before laying, some never shed, and some lay months after shedding

I'd follow the advice of not cutting as early as normal. I've heard a few breeders mention how an early or late post ovulation shed can mess with the incubation time before they hatch.

Sorry ya'll! I just realized there were replies to my post.

I didn't post pics, because I can't seem to capture what they truely look like. They look "lumpy" in these pics. They actually just have thin shells (windows everywhere).

And there will definitely be no cutting at normal date if at all. I usually wait until day 58-59 to cut. I don't plan to touch this clutch until around day 74 IF they haven't pipped by then. I'm still a bit shocked that she had them sooo soon.

Her ovulation date is correct with no questions. She did lay one slug also. The egg in the bottom left may not be fertile as well. In the pictures you can actually see what I was talking about. Top left is fertile.

Ovulation 3-25 to 3-26 (Pics are the start of ov. This poor girl got HUGE!:eek:)

Update! All three fertile eggs pulled through. I'm very pleased with the little fire female! She's very light and should make one heck of an adult!
