    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone ever seen this?

Hey everyone, I'm not new to the site but this is my first post. I just thought I'd show some pics of my spider bp eating. Her past two feedings I've seen this. IMG_0872.jpg

Has anyone ever had one of their snakes grab their prey by the tail instead of the head or body?

Yea I wasn't too happy about that either but I did use tongs to keep the mouse from biting. i took these pics after the mouse already pasted. I just really wish this snake would start taking f/t so this wouldn't even be a issue. She's definitely my stubborn snake.

I've had several do that, and the tongs are a great way to prevent the snake from being chewed on! I'm holding a spider for a friend that just got back from Afghanistan, and she does the same thing all the time. She's got a little wobble so I just figured that she's having a hard time seeing it so she hits it (hard) from any angle she can get to it.

I don't do f/t but I do prekill most of the time for our spider, he has horrible aim and wraps like yours most of the time.
Wobbling/corkscrewing spiders need extra care to help them during feeding, tongs, f/t or prekilling are good ways to prevent spiders from getting bit.

Wow I thought mine was weird! I'm glad other spiders do that too. Mine doesn't wobble hardly at all but she does seem to have a little sight trouble. I was doing the tong thing too but I finally got mine to eat f/t after not feeding her for a couple months. Cute Spidey though!

I figured it was something with the spider gene. I'm happy another people have experienced this too, because I found it quite odd. I really hope I can get her switched to f/t eventually but until then it looks like I'll just have to keep a close eye on her.
