Well I thought I had all the bases covered. I contacted the people hosting on my server to let them know that on Friday night I would be doing some maintenance that would require the server to be rebooted. I posted notices in the message board sites to let the users know as well, so they wouldn't have open messages at the time that would get lost.
Then I could do my backup of the datafiles beforehand, just in case, and then have everything good to go.
So I thought.
Apparently midnight on Friday (central time) is really midnight on Thursday. I know there is a time zone difference, but a 24 HOUR difference?
One of these days my head is just going to explode.
