    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

not to sound like a spoil sport but i think women would be wise to be careful about putting up pics on public forums.
i have had some experiences in my long years and would recommend not to advertise what one looks like for any and all weirdos on the planet to see..especially if one is giving out address for payments to be sent etc.
just a word of caution..i realize it spoils the fun but..it could also keep you alive a little longer .
just my two cents.
 
kim, I completely agree....which is why the DMV, my bank, and everyone else think I live at my mail box...being cautious has it's good points.

But, I guess that comfort's not worth the risk! Eek! What a world we live in!! Pretty sad indeed. I'll be changing my avatar right away.

I see what you mean about pics, but this is how I look at it. To live a life fearing all things that "could" happen, isn't a way to live. Not that I'm a risk taker or anything, I'm just saying, should we not drive cars because a drunk may slam into us and kill us? Should all women not wear make up because it might cause some sex crazed freak to get aroused and try to rape us? Sorry, but I lived the first half of my life in fear, and it wasn't much of a life. If you click on someone's name when they post a topic, it brings up their 'personal file' page, (or whatever they call it...) Or, click the 'members' button for a list of everyone. For your own page, there's a space where you can post a mug shot, if you'd like to put one up. It's a cool feature, kind of a 'safer' way to post your pic, I guess - If anyone really wants to know more about you, they can find it the link without too much trouble -  but, at the same time, it's not right there in front everywhere you post. A fun, yet seemingly under-used feature on this board.  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
