    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi Travis, I am Jeff (JL Herp).  I apologize!!!  My laptop was sent in for repairs, and I didn't have Outlook Express setup on my wife's computer--so I haven't been getting any emails.  

My apologies to everyone who has tried contacting me!  Thank you for being patient, and I will be contacting everyone this evening!!!

Alright, I have been informed that a few of you have not received your items yet.  I am going through and checking to see what has been delivered.  Guys, please bear with me for a couple of days.  I sold several hundred of these, but I assure you one way or another you won't be missed!

I was not contacted last night.  I have not been contacted in over a week.  The last contact I do have is one saying the probes were mailed well over two weeks ago.  And if that was true, I should definately have them by now.  I need some ANSWERS here man!  This is not looking good for you.  Brian Conley

OK, Jeff recieved my money April 21st.  It is now May 13th.  And there has been no contact or merchandise.  I believe we've got a bad guy here.  What do you think?  I have contacted paypal and begun their dispute process and I will be calling my CC company today to contest paypals charges (that should light a fire under their butt).  If I don't hear from JL Herpetoculture by Wed.  May 15th I will also file a complaint w/ Kingsnake.com and the FBI's internet fraud divison.  I would suggest anyone else screwed (or just plain forgotten) by this guy do the same.

Jeff emailed the following to me and asked me to post it for him.

I am at work and I can't log on to any boards or chatrooms. Can you (would you) please post something under the inquiry about JL Herp to have people check their email? I spent the last five days arguing with my ISP, Paypal, Yahoo.... I shipped out 387 thermometers to 83 different people, and in the end six have not received theirs! If you could do this, I would greatly appreciate it. Below is a copy of the email I sent to everyone.

Again, I apologize to everyone. I am very sorry for the frustration this has most certainly caused for you. I sold nearly four hundred of the thermometers I had posted (387), and it appears that six of you did not receive them. They have now been shipped, and you may find the confirmation numbers below. I do ask that you try to be understanding and know that this was not an act of dishonesty. I was alerted of the problem last week by a friend who visits the board of inquiry. Within 48 hours of learning about the problem, my Paypal account was restricted and my email was blocked. It was very difficult to correct the situation after my means of doing so were taken away. I understand why complaints and inquiries were filed, but I do ask that follow up measures be taken. Please allow a few days for the product to arrive. If you have any questions or concerns after receiving the product, please feel free to call me. I had hoped to reimburse you for the inconvenience, but I am currently not able to send funds via Paypal. Some of you will be receiving extra thermometers.

Jeff is a GOOD GUY.  I know him personally and he's got no reason to screw anyone out of a thermometer or two or ten.  You people act like he's getting you for $500 or something.   If it was a lot of money, you MIGHT have a reason not to trust him, but if the guy's pleading with you for a little patience on a $20 purchase (I don't know how much they were), give him the benefit of the doubt.   Trust me, Jeff will reciprocate the favor if he ever has a chance.

I've been trying to GIVE him some ball pythons (literally) for a favor he did and just now got ahold of him, so it's not a one way street.

I can't believe that I didn't notice a good friend of mine was getting bashed on by someone and I didn't see it.
 
just got an email from him finally. I checked the tracking number and nothing has been sent yet according to usps but it did say new info may not be put in. I realy hope this isn't a scam. I say give him the benefit of the doubt and wait 48 hrs. then check tracking numbers. believe me if I don't don't get my stuff or my money I will be the first one to sign up for the lynching, but we do know stuff happens. he could be telling the truth.

It's not possible to email if yahoo or whatever email he was using was down and he couldn't get to it to find your email address.

Just because you can access the net, doesn't mean you can access your email, if your email is down.

Just a thought.

How's this...I will put MY NAME on the line for Jeff.  I will paypal you $50 if you don't receive your order when Jeff says you will.  That's how confident I am that Jeff is a good guy.

Brian, everyone is human and I have apologized profusely to everyone that did not receive their item.  I thought I had posted everybody's confirmation number, but it looks like I didn't paste everyting correctly.  I don't care if $5, $50, or $500 was involved--I understand why you are upset.  Now, Anthony is correct, I was not able to receive email through one of my accounts.  I DID email everyone yesterday, if you truly didn't receive the message, I apologize.  It looks like everyone else did or there would have been other people involved here.

Don't tell me to "get on the ball", as I already have.  Within five business days of hearing about this problem, I have spoken to over 80 people and asked for the help of a couple friends to rectify the situation.

Please do.  There was a problem, and when I learned of it I fixed it.  I have not said one word about your actions to this point because I do understand why you feel the way you do.  Please discontinue these negative messages.  I have been forthcoming and sincere, and there is nothing more I can do.  You don't ever have to deal with me again, but paint a true picture.
