    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I used to collect coins quite a lot as a kid. The most exciting thing was finding a rare coin in circulation. I once got a 1909 VDB penny in decent condition just looking through my pocket change! My older brother had a book full of silver Franklin Half Dollars and when matchbox cars used to be 49 cents I used to take one of his coins and walk down to the 5&10 cent store and buy one. The irony here is those original matchbox cars today are probably worth way more than the Franklin Halves LOL. Life's funny like that, huh? Just a few weeks ago I found a 1941 Lincoln Head Penny that looked like it was just minted. Not worth much but it just goes to show you never know what you'll find in your pocket. It could have just as easily been that 1969 double struck penny that just went for over $50,000 at auction! I guess that's what makes collecting coins exciting. The thrill of the hunt LOL.

cool...now I know where to go when I decide to sell off my collection  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I got a tin of coins from my dad that I have yet to go through...I know there's some turn of the century silvers and most of em are foreign. Any suggestions on a book to help ID these?

I like all the Lincolns (pennies) and Mercury Dimes.

And don't forget Kendey Half Dollars.

Nicole you can goto about any Coin dealer and find some good books and also most book stores have some books. Frank
