    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Triing to find out if anyone has done business with him before. How did the deal go thru and did you get blown off after the deal was made? Thanks for the info.
 
I puchased 2 snakes from Patrick back in December of 2001.  The snakes arrived safely and were good eaters.  They were pretty thin though, they definitely had not been fed regularly.  Patrick did stay in contact with me throughout the deal & checked w/me afterwards to make sure they arrived ok.

He has made deals with me twice and the first time, he ignored my calls and then a few weeks later hes says the snakes are sold after he had told me they were mine and we were to meet. He didnt realize that he had sold them to a friend of mine. The second time we talk two days before and said the deal was done. We were to meet on Sunday and I would get directions Saturday night. He blew me off again. The bad thing, I am a local within half hour.

I tried to make a deal with Patrick last week.  He is not responding to my e-mail making an offer on a snake he has for sale.  He could at least have taken the time to tell me no..............Robin

im not saying this to defend patrick but sometimes when a person posts a snake at a good price one gets flooded with emails and its easy to overlook one especially when there are a bunch of virus downloads and weird things coming in the mail at the same time. im sure i have deleted emails by accident at one time or another thinking they are infected files or something and somewhere in the mix is a valid email from a buyer.
try emailing him again..
i could totally be wrong in regards to patrick..i have no idea but im just saying as a seller that kind of stuff can happen without any malice intended.
 
Now, I have to Defend him. I feel bad. He came through at the last minute and called me a coup[le of hours before we were to meet. The snake is absolutely fantastic and I WOULD reccomend him to anyone again. He has been busy and is a pain to get a hold of him, but when you do, you wont be sorry. At least I wasnt. Thanks Patrick!
 
I made a few trade's with Patrick acouple of year's ago and sold him a few Boa's and Still to this day I can e-mail him and he's alway's been nice to me and gotten back to me with now problem's. The Snake's I got from him all where well taken care of and had no problem's with any of them. I would deal with him anyday.
 
I consider Patrick Hewitt a close personal friend and I will say that you should have no problem in purchasing his reptiles or have any disbelief  in what he says about them. North Texas Reptiles posted a "For Sale" ad at Kingsnake.com for a pair of C. lepidus on May 22, 2002. I responded to the ad and expressed my interest in purchasing the snakes. After not hearing anything for two days, I figured that the email, sent from my Yahoo account, may not have arrived. I sent a second email from a "real" email address and in that message, I included my work and home telephone numbers. It's been two more days, and I have not heard a word. So, I phoned a seller in Florida and have purchased a pair of Leps from him.

The only reason I felt this had any bearing on the thread is that in the for sale ad, Mr Hughett stated that he wanted to make a quick sale. See quote from his ad:

"I am reducing the price on this pair to sell! I need them gone ASAP! These are a flawless pair of CBB Adult Leps. They are feeding well on adult mice."
(End quote)

Perhaps he has already sold the animals. I don't know, and that's my whole point. If he needed them gone "ASAP" you would think that he'd have the professional courtesy to at least respond to my query to let me know that they were either sold, or that he'd like to work something out with me. The only thing I can figure is that he not only didn't want my money, he didn't want anything to do with me either.

I guess I should thank him though. As a result of buying the snakes from my friend in Florida, I saved 70$.....
