INQUIRY Keith Klotz chargerreptiles

Hi. Has anyone done business with Keith Klotz? or chargerreptiles1. He lives in Lewiston, PA and goes to the Hamburg show. Any info would be appreciated. He has some retics (hets) that I am interested in. Thanx Casey

Anybody see him today in Hamburg? He had albino retics and tigers and hets. (so I am told)

I had talked to Keith and made a deal with him and we set up a time and place. I drove 3½ hour's and he never showed. I figured stuff happen's so no big deal I talked to him acouple of day's later he stated that he had car trouble. So I decided to try one more time and then NO SHOW again. I tried e-mailing and it has been over aweek and I have not heard anything from him.  I was meeting him in McClure Pa and he stated to me that he lived near harrisburg. Now I find out that he live's in Lewistown I'm really upset. I would personaly stay away from this guy.

I seen alot of nice animals.  but i dont remember seeing him.  i did ask a few people but they didnt know. so i am no help to ya. sorry

Hi again. You should use caution here. I do not know for certain why, but he seems unable to provide any proof to authenticate the hets he offered to trade me (he even got angy and stopped the trade when I asked for proof). Keith is unwilling to tell me who he purchased the albino female retic from.  He is Keith Klotz email chargerreptiles

Hey Casey I was a vendor at Hamburga dn the onyl person I saw that had albino retic was Dominion Reptiles. and Don Hamper had 66% het for albino I think I just drove 16 hours back to FL so ......memory might be fuzzy but that was the only albino retic I remember seeing....It was an awesome show

Keith is up to it again. He's trying to sell stuff on Petads. Just wanted to let everyone know to watch out for this guy he alway's want's you to ship first so he can rip you off. He tried to do this to me and I got smart. I told him I'd meet him and then he had all kind's of reason's why he didn't show up. He told me that he lived about 2 hour's away from the spot we decided to meet. Then I find out that he lived in the same town about 10 minute's from where we decided to meet. Please use caution if dealing with this guy.

I spoke to the webmaster of the site he was posting on and they removed him from thier site.

I just did a trade with Keith and everything went perfect. There was 1 slight prob with the deal but he more than made up for that shortfall. He sent 1 less gecko than what I was suppose to get and the next day he shipped me 2 more geckos and a yellow line platted lizard to make up for the mistake. I would be more than happy to do business with him again. All breeders have made mistakes or had trouble at one time or another in the process of a sale or trade.  If all of his happy customers were to post a message in this thread then it would be a mile long. It just seems sad that most of the people who post on the BOI are here because they have a complaint. If anyone would like more details about my experience went with Keith the feel free to email me.

He tried to trade me some retics for one of my snakes, and when I told him that all I would be interested in are albinos, low and behold, the mother of the retics he wanted to trade just happened to be an albino, but he would not sell them as hets,because he does not "do genetics", as a matter of fact he sells them to pet stores for just a little more than a normal. But he wanted a $500 boa for a pr. that makes them a lot more than a normal. 100% hets, but he does not guarantee the genetics at all, and he only wanted $250 each. When I asked who he got the albino female from, he would not answer. I asked 10 times who he got it from, and he would not answer. And now he does not respond to emails at his old address chargerreptiles

He was using the almost the same address as before he just added a 1 after the old one. I agree that he is a liar and a crook. Tried to rip me of on a trade. I was going to trade him a Venomiod Cobra for 3 supose Tiger Retic's. That he couldn't show pic's for and then when we decided to meet he lied about where he lived. I would never trust this guy. He even had the nerve to call me up and say he had car trouble and was stranded in the town we decided to meet at and had to sleep in his car and pay a pet store to hold the snake's over night so they had heat. Then to find out he lived in the same town only minute's away from where we decided to meet. That in my book is a crook.

Just a word of advice. Be carefull what words you chose to use when talking about someone on a message board like this. There are a lot of people (like Joe P. ) who would consider it as slander and attempt to sue you because of your opinion. I understand that your experience was not as good as mine was with Keith but you still need to protect yourself while letting everyone know about the good/bad deal that you may have received from a breeder. When it comes to buying a het I only deal with people that are well known and trusted like Bob Clark or Python Pete. You will pay more for the name but the piece of mind is worth it. Since I am not very known in the reptile world my hets are sold for the same price or just a little more than a non het. The only proof of genetics that I can offer on my het geckos would be a picture of the father but a lot of people would not trust that the picture is actualy the father of the gecko that they are buying.  I am happy that this BOI is here so everyone has a chance to find information about the person they are about to make a deal with. Just don't make your decision based on the opinion of 1 or 2 people. I made a mistake last year where I mixed up 2 orders. One person was very happy to open their box and find an albino gecko but the other person was angery to find a normal when they were suppose to get an albino. They imediatly went to kingsnake.com and accused me of ripping them off. They did this before they ever contacted me about the mix up. It was my fault for having too much going on at one time but I imediatly sent them an albino and a sorry. As a plus they got a normal (het for patternless) for free. Like I said in my last post all breeders have made mistakes. If everyone who read this persons post made their final decision about what kind of person I am, I would never be able to sell another snake or gecko again.
Just be carefull but I stick to my first opinion about Keith being a good person to deal with. He did right by me so I will be happy to deal with him again.

It sounds like you are indirectly threatening a lawsuit?? Don't worry about me, Keith knows about how he try to rip me off. He got greedy and thought he might be able to trade a couple of normal retics for a North Brazilian Redtail boa that I was asking $500 for. Maybe he is not a crook, cause he was to stupid to convince me that they were hets. Maybe I should mention that I had a deal with Kieth Klotz right before this one and it went off pretty well. He said that a lizard I sent him arrived DOA, and I never asked for any proof, I just sent a replacement. Plain and simple Marc Johnson,KIETH KLOTZ TRIED TO ROB ME.

These people contacted me a couple days ago about purchasing an albino retic. They asked for a picture "ASAP". I sent the pic and they never gave me an answer, now I'm wondering if they wanted the pic to mis-represent their own snakes. Its a lavender albino pictured in a deep clear tub. If anyone sees them using it please let me know! Thanks

Well it seems kinda funny to me they can attempt to buy your albino but cant refund my 170 bucks?And I bet you are wright there are just going to tell someone else thats there snake and try and sell it to them.Which email addy was they using MArk?And if you dont mind me asking where did they see your add?I am doing my best to warn folks of them.They are true scamm artists.She(Brandy Klotz) is telling me she is going to next day me a money order monday morning and give me a tracking number?..I will let yall know if I get anything but I wont be holding my breath.

They were using the same email as the one you posted. I didn't have an ad up at the time. They said they heard I had an albino for sale at a good price and to send a pic ASAP!
