    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a fairly small collection of reptiles. Currently I have six ten gallon aquariums set up for my snakes and geckos. They are sitting on matal shelving in my "reptile room". They take up a lot of space and are difficult to clean since I have to take them off their shelf, unplug all the waing for heat/lights.

I am looking for a type of caging that is attractive and easy to clean. Something that looks really nice in a room. I don't want to spend a mint on the caging, though.

What is my best bet? I currently have 3 kingsnakes and 6 leopard geckos, so each section or tray or enclosure would not have to be very large. I do have an adult bearded that I'd like to include in the display as well.

Thanks for your time and imput.

Jeremy

I use the cages from BARRs. They aren't expensive. Check out his web site at:http://www.barrs.com/

other people have recommended cages from Boaphile, also.

I love the plastic cages with the acrylic front and don't think I will go back to glass aquariums.

I realy like my Neodesha's for my snakes they open from the front and are easy to clean but I don't know how they would work for gecko's or a beardy

I agree with Sue, BARRS are great cages.  I have been using them for the last 3 or 4 years now and I love them.  I have been able to eliminate most of my glass aquariums(of course I ALWAYS get something new and need to pull them out of the shed now and again until I can order more from BARRS).  They are pretty inexpensive when compared to most other plastic caging out there, and from my experience have none of the problems associated with Neodeshas.  I have kept everything from tree frogs to geckos to ratsnakes to Emerald Tree Boas in them with no problems.

I don't know if Boaphile cages would be right for you in this situation or not.  I love them as they are (in my humble oppinion) the best designed cage out there, but they are not the least expensive.  If cost is your primary concern, (as much as I hate to admit this <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> ) there are cheaper options out there.

I do think that if you go with a boaphile cage, you will be pleased with both the looks and the quality.  That is what is most important to me.

Add another vote for Barr's.  I don't own any of his cages (yet) but some of my friends do.  They're well made and inexpensive compared to some of the others (including my beloved Visions).  I don't think you can go wrong with those by Barr's.
