Hello All,
More often than not we read about the bad deals that seem to happen daily in our Hobby. Last time I posted it was in regards to that sour deal I had with Mother Earth Reptiles and the sick animal Frank sent me. This time I'm happy to post about a top notch seller, Zoological Imports 2000.
I have for the last 8 weeks or so been attempting to find a Female Blue Tree monitor for my male. It is my current breeding project. After tracking down numerous leads I eventually ended up talking with Mario of ZI 2000.
Mario said he would have a few coming in within a couple of weeks and they did. Mario said for my $1250 I would be getting a guarenteed Female in good condition. How many times have heard that one? I was a VERY nervous customer to say the least. Mario informed me he would be sending the animal next day air via UPS. Hearing that, my butt clenched since UPS just sucks and I was terrified they would screw it up. I explained my reservations about UPS but Mario had a great deal of confidence in them and I went with his choice. As expected, UPS lost the package for 4 days and my Wife opened a package with a DOA $1250 lizard. I won't go into the War with UPS but will only say don't use them for next day anything. As for Mario, I was expecting a fight since his website says he won't guarentee live arrival on anything other than Delta Dash (Which wasn't shipping the day I needed it delievered...sigh) and was worried that this was going to turn into civil court when Mario said he has one left that he thinks (!<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

I told him I would be taking it to my Herp vet for the sexing, thinking if this is a scam he'll not want to send it. Animal arrived next day in PERFECT condition. Couple of days later (today) got it in to my vet, we sexed it twice to be sure and its a girl! I finally got my pair. Money well spent. Mario stuck by his word, despite losing one for reasons not his fault (other than using UPS) and made sure I got what I was paying for.
