In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wanted to share some pics of my new incubator

Thanks,

I'm hoping for a few clutches of Regius eggs. But so far it just has air in it..lol

I use a Watlow Series 96 Process Control to run the incubator.
It is an awsome unit, but took me over a month to fugure out the basics. I actually had to have it setup by a friend.

The functions/options on this controller are amazing.

Oh cool, so do you run the direct eletrical cables right through it? Does it just work for heating, or do you think I could someone use a cooling device as well, and the last question, can it handle heating or cooling at the same time, or do I need two seperate ones for that. Oh, one more thing, where do you reccomend I purchase one?
Thanks

I bought mine used, so it was pretty much setup to be plugged in and used. These units are custom built for what ever the buyers needs may be. You can buy parts and assemble it yourself, or you can have it all put together by a Watlow dealer.

I'm not quite clear on the last part of your question. Did you mean, "could it run heating AND cooling at the SAME time.".
It can be used for either, I'm pretty sure it can run heating AND cooling, but not at the same time as they would constantly be fighting one another. This is a single loop unit, so it can only run 1 source at a time.

Oh, one more thing, where do you reccomend I purchase one?

I doubt you would want to buy one of these units, if you had one built by Watlow, The unit I use could be as much as $1200 to duplicate. ( I am looking in to a company that builds Watlow boxes, out of Batavia IL. I was told their prices are about 10% less than Watlow ) If you do not want all the options and software, you could probably get one for around $700.

In case you feel that you still want one, let me know and I will give you a few numbers of Watlow dealers.

Below is some info I copied and pasted from a Watlow dealer.

Watlow Series 96 Control
1/16 DIN, Advanced PID Control with Communications
Plug & Play Firmware & Hardware

Watlow’s Series 96 is a powerful 1/16 DIN dual display controller that offers many advanced functions. This new controller can be tailored to perform hardware and software needs with hardware modules that are pluggable and exchangeable and software menus that my be user programmed to fit exact applications requirements.

With one universal input, a second auxiliary input and four outputs, the Series 96 can be programmed to perform many functions including: temperature measurement, input event switching, remote set point input, heating, boost heating, cooling, alarms, digital communications and retransmit.

The reason I love mine is it can be connected/operated from my PC in my bedroom. It also has auto cuttoffs, and alarms.

Here are a couple links,
