    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is Mr. Ripples, I named him for the water drop pattern and bands down his back (looks like water rippling). I'm not 100% sure, but I think he's a Tremper Jungle, what do you think he is?

He's very pretty. I would say he is an abberrant patterned Tremper albino. I like the darker Trempers like him, they have so much more contrast. Very nice!

Surprisingly, I got him from a Petco. The entire cage was full of leos that looked fat and healthy, and because he was the only albino, I picked him out and immediately ran him to the vet to get him checked out (thinking he was infested to the core with worms and such). He did have pinworms, but nothing else, and the sweet thing is Petco said they'd reimburse me for the vet bills since it was within their 15 day warranty period.

So I guess by some great stroke of luck I got an nice baby along with a nice price. He's a pig too, eats six mealworms or crickets a day (he tends to like mealworms more though).

Sweet, Abberrant Tremper it is. What's the real distinction between abberant, jungle and stripe? I hear that if he has rings on his tail it's abberant and not jungle, and stripe I don't quite understand. Are they genetically all different or just variations of each other?

Everyone likes to complain about the big corporate pet stores, but I also find that my local Petco is really nice.

I also bought an albino that looks somewhat similar to yours at a decent price at my local Petco. And they were very kind and helpful while I was purchasing it. They asked me how I was going to set him up and sugguested a different lighting system.

They had a bunch of greek torts in a display that kept banging each other (mating behavior I believe) and when one of the workers noticed it while I was standing there looking at them, he immediatly seperated them. And when he separated them he picked up each tort and checked them to see if they were ok and even asked them how they were. I've never seen a low paid worker like that actually care about the animals they sell.
