In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

....
now somewhere there is some tang genes, he shows orange on his back but the dbl het is normal looking...

so this year... i was looking for a high color RW to breed jello to, to see what he would sire...
i found this female, recieved her this morning... she is in quarenteen but should be ready to go come summer......

the pic has a bit more orange coloration than she actually has but the color is very close... just a tad more yellow/golden

i am hoping from this breeding i can get some nigh high color rainwaters... shoot they will be het patt too....
not many working with RW except Jon Ho (whom has awesome RW's)... anybody else out there that breeds RW's??
how do you think this pairing will go?

u should produce some nice babies!

those look awesome robin!

the albinos i sold last year, most of them were also het for patternless and weren't anything special.

to be honest, i only sold ONE male rw albino last year from my "personal high colored line breeding" colony...even this year i plan on keeping most of the offspring, but might release a male or two..just too hard to decide what to sell cuz i wish i could keep them all!

i think there will be an increased interest in rainwaters this year, especially with people selling "hybinos" and even nicer looking patternless albinos. anyways keep up the good work, take care

some older pics

hey justyn,

i dont have any recent pics but i have some older pics from 2002 and early 2003.

i need to take a pic of that albino in my hand during the day, it has alot of orange/bright yellow highlights that have been washed out. oh wells..when i have more time =P

im also plan to use this "true" hypo tangerine female below to breed with my top albino male..hopefully get some nice orange hets? i should have did that last year (then ild be producing hybinos this year) but she was used in ct x hypo tang crosses...anyways good things come to those who are patient

Goodness, those really are some fo the best Las Vegas/Rainwater albinso and hypos I've ever seen. I can not wait to see what offspring you produce this year, I know they are going to be lifting "the bar."

i would like to get some to outcross and diversify what i already have!!! awsome!!!!!

Rainwaters

I can't really say that I am working with rainwaters as you guys are, but I have 2 RW females and 1.4 rainwater hets. One of the rainwaters does show some tangerine and I will be breeding that one to the male het that shows some tangetine also. I will see how that turns out. I'm sure not as tangerine as Robin's, but will be good for the first year. The other RW I am going to breed to my tremper giant. I think it would be cool to have a giant rw albino. My tremper giant is also het for t albino, so I may have trouble determining if I have a tremper albino or a rw albino.

Hey

You wont get rainwater giants I extremely doubt. You will get all normals double het for rainwater and tremper giant ( possible albino) when you breed the two normals together you will get some rainwaters and some tremper giants. You will no the giants cause they look different. Im not sure on exactly what babys you will get.

Hope this helps aaron

yes, I will not get rainwater giants this year. Hopefully next year when I breed the double hets together. Unless by chance the rainwaters are het for giant and the giant is het for rainwater. This is very improbable since I got the giant from tremper and I don't think that the person I got the RWs from has any giants. This will be a two+ year project. This year I'm going to have double hets coming out of my ears. Hopefully next year, I will start to see some results.

What im saying is that im not sure that the rainwater gene is compatiable with the giant gene. Or it may be diffcult to bring the two together.

Let us know what happens,
Aaron

Giant gene

Ron Tremper has been working with giants for a long time actually and he has a well detailed FAQ on his site about them, which clearly says that it is in fact a simple recessive gene.

it being a simple recessive gene it can be coupled with any other simple recessive genetic trait. Making Giant anything just involves working with double hets. i think taking a tremper giant albino and crossing that with a blizzard (of course f1 would be all triple het for albino, giant and blizzard. you would need to cross the triple hets together, and cross your fingers, to get the giant blazing blizzard) would be a cool lizard. big and white with red eyes!!!
