    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

who here uses them and what do you think???
if you use them do you suppliment assitionally or have them solely ... on the t- rex superfood diets (like not calcium)

I use exclusively

I have been using the T-Rex diets exclusivley since April of last year and have been totally happy. I currently have 18 breeding colonies (1.2) of cresteds and none have seen a cricket or any supplementation to the diet since late summer. I am currently getting as good or better than growth rates as before the diets.

I use the Gargoyle diet (GGD) on them untill they are 7-9 months of age and then switch to the crested diet (CGD) from then on. Female cresteds once they start laying eggs I switch them over to the gargoyle diet again during egg laying season. I also get minimum 12 eggs per female and atleast 14 females gave me 14 eggs or more (16 was the most from 1 female) so there is plenty of calcium and D3 in the diets.

I use the GGD because it has 50% more protien in it then the CGD (30% to 20%) and we all know muscle grows fastest and best with more protien.

I am happy with the Leacheanus diet so far but I will be breeding them late this year so I will see how they produce and how many eggs I get out of my females

I also buy the diets in bulk direct from Allen Repashy and he is constantly tweaking it for better ingredients and the little bottles you get in the stores probably doesnt reflect this since T-Rex probably just cant change things on a whim without notice (only my opinion) as I've noticed a retail sample jar I got from him in april and the bulk was differnt and asked why, that was his explanation.

hope this helps

Eric
