In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

 how was it???
 thanx all
 Jeff Lewis

It would be a first, but...if I'm not mistaken (lol), about a couple of months ago, a gentleman came into my store and we started talking snakes, being as curious as I am....I asked him what kind of snakes he had?? He told me about Piedbald's, Albino's of every kind and type, Anery's, the best of the best...my lower lip was on the floor!....and, he was a very nice guy, very amicable, very intelligent, and knew what he was talking about....when I finally got around to asking if he did this for a living, that's when he told me he owned Cypress Creek....it immediately clicked, even though I hadn't met him before, and even though I have never seen his collection....his reputation around my area is second to none! Unless he was giving me one heck of a story (which I SERIOUSLY doubt)...I don't think you'll have ANY problem dealing with him...and from what I hear...you'll definitely love what you purchase! But...it's totally up to you! ....Neil

Neil,,was that guys name Tommy Carlton?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

Jeff...I'm sorry, I don't remember his name...
Why don't you just call him and talk?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> ....Neil

neil,,,i did call,,and he is out of town... his dad is looking over the shop while he is away... he seems like a really nice guy,,BUT,,a couple of grand is alot of money to send to someone,,know what i mean???  do ya have any suggestions about what is the best way to send that kind of money that safeguards me if someone tries to rip me off??  a way that gives me some kind of recourse SHOULD anything like ta happen???  i dont think that it will,,,but its better to be safe than sorry!!!!
 thanx
 Jeff Lewis <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Well, I've got one suggestion for you....you can ask him to bring the snake to my store and I will check it personally....if it's what you want (I can take some pics on the spot and email them to you)...you can PayPal him and I'll pack AND ship you the snake from my store as he watches the packing...(with his approval, of course)....unless you're somewhere close enough that you can BOTH meet at the store??? ....How's that??? ....Neil

Neil,,,the thing is;;;I live in va.. and i was gonna drive down there and get it,,,but were talking about 14-15 hours...they dont have a pay-pal account,,,i asked!!  see,,the owner is supposed to be out of town,,and his dad is watching the snakes...  his dad dont know anything about the snakes,,except whats on the record card and how much it costs!!! he seems really honest,,he even told me that the snake hasnt eaten in about a month...someone that was trying to rip me off would have said,,oh yea,,hes eating great!!! i asked his dad about your store and he said he dosent know too much about the snake business,,only what his son tells him to do... he talks to him on the phone often...so you see where my dilemma is??? i really want the snake,,but im not trying to get ripped off, either!!! any other suggestions???

Cuga, I have dealt w/ Tom.  His animals are what he says they are.  He does have all the animals he says he does and I think you would be safe going through w/ this.  However, there is a little more to the story than you are being told.  I am not going to into details, as they were told to me in confidence.  The details are up to Tom or his dad.

Like I said before, I think you would be safe doing this but I know what kind of cash you're talking about here.  Personally, if I was going to spend that kind of money, I would drive down and pick it up anyway.  Its insane to me that anyone would trust that kind of animal to a shipping company anyway.  You're talking about a two day trip to pick up a $2500 animal.  I don't know about you, but it takes me a lot longer than two days to make $2500.  Maybe dad can met you halfway or something?  I think this way noone has anything to worry about.  Just a suggestion. Good Luck.

Jeff,

Credit where credit is due. Neil did the same thing for me with a female ball python and it worked just fine.

Now in this case I would suggest you to drive. Why? Because you are investing a lot of money here and you want to see first hand how are they keeping their snakes (so do the rest of us  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>  ) A ball python that has not eaten for a month may or may not be normal. Check the place out.

On a separate note. Please be prepared to keep the albino in a separate room from those you traded with Angela ("more than likely" wild caughts). Maintain a strict quarantine for not less than 4 months. That includes washing and desinfecting your hands (preferably with disposable rubber gloves on) when handling those babies and then the albino. Do not recycle uneaten rodents between enclosures.

Good luck!  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Daniel,,i tell ya,,,you always got a little catchy phrase,,dont ya??? but i like them!!!!!  you are right,,,strict quarintine!!!
thanx guys,,i think i might just go ahead and drive down there!!!!  if i do,,,i will let yall know how it went!!!!
 Jeff Lewis <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Neil,,you know what?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>,,i dont think i want to get the albio....let me tell you why,,,16 hours and 2500 dollars seems like an awful lot for a snake that wasborn last Sept. and now only weighs 133.5 grams,,,and hasnt eaten in 6 weeks...
that is just tooooo much $$$$ to spend on something that isnt in great condition,,,dont ya think???
BUT,,, they werehonest about it,,,so i have to give them props for that!!!
 Jeff Lewis

Although I have not done business with Cypress Creek, I have seen them at many shows and the animals they bring are always top notch and in excellent condition.  And although noone would remember me, I spoke to the person running the booth(I would assume this was Tom?) and he seemed to know his stuff.  Several of my friends have bought from him and have always been more than satisfied.

But I personally don't think a ball python that hasn't eaten for six weeks is suffering from a chronic illness, but I also haven't seen the snake.  At least they were honest with you about it and didn't give you any BS like so many others would have.

Good luck!

Rob,,you are 100% right,,,a snake that hasnt eaten in 6 weeks is not that big a deal,,,,BBBBUUUUUTTTTTTT,,,a snake that is 2-3months from being a year old and only weighs 133 grams?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>?,,,that is kinda small,,dont ya think??? i have babies that are 2 months old and they are weighing in at 109 grams!!!some balls are notorious for not eating,,and that is okay,,,BUT,,for that kind of $$$,,i dont think i want to take the risk of something being wrong!!!!!

Jeff,

Your reasoning is very sound. Take a look at Dan Wolfe albinos (he just posted a pic). In my opinion they have the best contrast there is around.

Regards,  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

FINALLY,,,,,a compliment from the mighty Daniel,,,thanx buddy LOLOLOL!!!!!  i saw Dan Wolfes ad,,,VERY NICE!!!  i think i will look into that!!! thanx again Daniel,,for the compliment!!!
i am truly honored,,,SERIOUSLY
 Jeff Lewis

I got my Albino Male from Dan Wolfe last year and I would definitly check him out.  His customer service was great and the Albino looks great, super high contrast.  Eats like clockwork weekly, sometimes more.  I can send you a pic if you want.

I was not planning on jumping into the albino ball genetics but after I saw his snakes I could not resist. The ball python I just bought from Dan is arriving tomorrow. Always good interaction with him both over e-mail and on the phone.

Best regards,  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

My name is Matthew.

Im looking for a new snake. and i have been checking out a bunch of cypress creeks snakes. Now i have been reading these threads about them and im coming to the conclusion that he is a as AS GOOD as he says he is. Just want know because I see different prices. Problem is i really really want one of his snakes...looking at a het albino 50% het axanthic. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

I bought from Mr. Carlton a few years ago and was completely happy with my purchase.
I tried recently to inquire about some balls he had posted on kingsnake, but never got a response. Although I could've called him, I am one that doesn't usually pick up the phone unless I have to. Email is easier for me.
If he had something at a show that I was interested in, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.
