In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What would be the best Incubator to get for gecko and bearded dragon eggs? Would there be anyplace like a hardware store that would carry flex watt heat tape or where could I get this from?

Thanks Tori

Hey Tori

If you are looking to purchase alot of it go to calorique.com( i think thats the website) ill double check you can buy a roll of 11" 20 w heat tape for $300 or if you buy it online you pay about on average $3.75- $4.00 a LF for it plus shipping for what you are doing and if you wanted to use it to heat your fish tanks with buying a 100ft roll is cheapiest direct from the make of it .

Alan,
Can you order 100' rolls now?
The last time I inquired with them, which was probably two years ago now, the minimum order was 500' for whatever width. At least that's what the salesman I talked to told me.
I declined to order from them direct because I didn't want to put 12 or 15 hundred dollars in it, or whatever the total would have come to and I didn't have enough people to split a roll with.
I could probably justify buying it 100' at a time.

On the incubator issue, alot of peopl euse Hovbators for small amounts of eggs. I hate the things myself, btu alot of people like them fine. They are about the only economical commercial incubator available.
I prefer to make my own. I use large upright freezers myself, but many things will work, coolers, insulated wooden box. As long as it will maintain a consistent temperature you're good to go.
My first "incubator" years ago was pathetic, but it worked at the time. It consisted of a rubbermaid box and two heat rocks. The temperature was controlled by taking one of the rocks in and out of the box.
It was crude to say the least, and required alot of attention, but I hatched a good number of day geckos in it, and at least I finally found a use for those stupid heat rocks. :D

Clay ....

Yes you can order 100' rolls from them the cost is $300 + shipping not sure off the top of the clutterd head but i think it was $342.00 or $352.00 shipped IMO well worth buying vs buying online ( i dont knock the mark of those who sell it online for the costs ) but in my quanity of useage the mass rolls are better prices .
