In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Three Florida snapping turtles, all in good shape (in Massachusetts).

One is large, about 7-8" carapace.
The other two are more like 5-6" carapace.

Email if interested.
Thanks.

Florida snappers

Do you have any pics? What are you asking for them?

Florida snappers

I have not yet developed the pictures I took of
the 3 Florida snappers I mentioned.
As far as price goes, name your price and
we can negotiate from there. Not looking for
a lot of $.

If anyone's considering the purchase of these turtles, I'd suggest requesting paperwork that proves that they are owned legally.

Snappers require a permit in Massachusetts, just to own... Selling animals that are restricted is a pretty serious breach of the Fish and Game laws. While the person most likely to get nailed for it is the seller, a person purchasing such animals could potentially face charges as well. Add in a violation of the Lacey act if they're shipped anywhere, since they can't be labeled as snappers and it's a nice situation all around.

I don't like the Massachusetts herp laws, I find them to be flawed in many respects. They are however the law... individuals who circumvent the restrictions just make life harder for the law abiding permit owners and increase the chance of a statewide herp ban. These people knowingly obtain animals illegally... they're scum. So is anyone who enters a transaction with them.

correction on legalities

The *common* snapping turtle is an indigenous species in MA. It IS illegal to sell.

The Florida snapping turtle is routinely sold
in pet stores in MA, and is not an indigenous
species. Word has it even the Alligator Snapping turtle may be legal here, though I've never seen it sold except at shows.

In looking at my latest copy of the state reptile laws, I'm not actually seeing ANY snappers listed as being restricted or requiring a permit... There HAD been an outright ban on Chelydridae as a whole, which ended up encompassing species which weren't even north american... But this has apparantly changed.

My apologies for my comments, these are apparantly legal to own and sell.

I am interested in those turtles

I just have a few questions. Do you still have the turtles? If so are they wild caught or captive bred and finally what are they eating when do they eat and how much do you feed them? If you still have them will you take 80$
