    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What Kind Of Panthe &...........?

What kind of panther is this? And how can you tell the sex?

Due to the color, that is most likely a male. Females tend to be brownish-orangeish. I'll get back to you on the type. He is very pretty

I think he is a Sambava but he could be an Ambanja. check out chameleonjournals.com they have a gallery with a lot of photos of panthers.

okay, i'm sure now

I checked out chameleonjournals.com and hes actually a Ambilobe. definetly a male. Sorry about all the posts.

if you go to that site, click on gallary, and look at furcifer pardalis, than theres a pic very similar.

thanks

Sabava male

That is what I thought he was, but wasn't posative about it. Thanks for everyones help. Does anyone know where I can find a female? He is a june 03 baby.

MALE... Sambava Panther Chameleon

You also asked how to tell how to sex your Sambava... Well to the best of my knowledge one of the the easiest ways to tell the sex of Panthers is... the crest on the nose extends beyond, out past the end of the nose on males and doesn't on females. Also as with most "MALE" lizards you'll be able to house a male with one or more females but rarely will two males live together and not fight with each other. There are other ways to tell their sexes as they age also... such as the femoral pores on the back legs, hemipene buldges (two) past vent under their tail indicate a male lack of or smaller femoral pores, and a single buldge past the vent beneath the tail indicate a female. I believe that should help you find what you are looking for good luck! He is beautiful! Have a great day, :) Ronald E. Powell
