Symposium To Honor UNM Reptile Expert

A memorial symposium to honor the late, noted herpetologist Roger Conant will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. May 6 at the University of New Mexico.
Six speakers will be featured at Room 100, Castetter Hall, Department of Biology. The hall is north of Marron Hall and Redondo Road. Keynote speaker is Joseph C. Mitchell of the University of Richmond in Virginia.
Conant, 94, died Dec. 19 of cancer in Albuquerque. He was considered one of the 20th century's most influential herpetologists.
Following the symposium, there will be a reception in the UNM Biology Greenhouse.
