    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can anyone give me a few answers???

I was wanting to ask a question or 2 I have a 100% het axanthic male '03, and a 50% het albino female '03, now I know they wont be ready to breed till sometime earliest in '05 but I was wondering is it OK to house them together or should you always keep males and females seperate until breeding time? Also how long should the cooling period be? Do you cool them together or seperate then put them together? I have had these 2 normal BP's since they have been hatchlings for about 1 1/2 years together in same reptarium. And have the hets in their own place. Please any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In my opinion, ball pythons as well as all other snakes should be housed in separate containers at all times other than breeding season.

In November, I start to cool all my adults while still in individual enclosures. About 1-2 weeks into cooling I introduce the male into the females container.

Good luck....

I agree with Al on this. Other then "saving space" there is not a single bonus to housing 2 snakes together. Now the downsides are can and usually does put stress on the submissive snake by the dominant one. If one gets sick they usually both will get sick. It is impossible to track which one is shedding/pooping etc.
