    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can anyone tell me anything about Korean softshell turtles? I have a small one, 3 1/4 inches long, I'm looking to make it as fat and happy as it could be, but getting it to eat is difficult. It only likes fresh killed fish, but it's too slow and lazy to catch the small "feeder" fish I have in the tank with it. Also, would a 10 gallon aquarium be enough room for it or do I need to go bigger? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

i have raised many florida soft shell turtles. 10 gal is fine for now, but im sure it will out grow that in a year or so. Just keep the fedder fish in the tank with him, try putting a little sand on the bottom of the tank soft shells love burring themselves in the sand with only there heads out , like snapping turtles they are ambush preditors and its normal for your little guy not to chase around gold fish, and try putting some ghost shrimp in the tank for feeders. also use some sort of full spectrum lighting, a growing turtle will greatly benifit from that. also try droping a chricket in the water your soft shell might go for it. hope everything stays well with your turtle, and remember even tho soft shells spend most of there life in the water they still need an area to come out of the water and bask.
