In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

That would be some snake pee, bud :*)...they excrete urine in a solid form...

nico

I've had only one snake regurge... it was a ball python and after one day up that mouse came....I gotta tell you...there's no mistaking that smell. If it happens, I think you'll know it. Chris is right....white powdery stuff is urates.

hahaha ok thx
i'm just a bit worried because there is something wrong with her
she seems 2 have a swollen throat and i've noticed that she can't really stick her tung out 2 smell food
i've had a look in her mouth but i can't c anything unusual
anybody know what that is?
well thx for any replies

Sounds like you should take your snake to a vet as soon as possible, if it's possible. A swollen throat may be one of several things including an abscess, a growth, or something stuck. I don't know how common herp vets are in your location, but if they're hard to come by, any vet can be of some assistance with some help from us. Mild sedation in the form of a gas anesthetic (isoflurane may be best) will assist your vet in getting a good look inside your snake's throat. Your snake may wake up quickly, so tell your vet to be careful. Having your snake crawl into a long tube, such as a paper towel roll, can help in gasing your snake. I can help with dosages on just about any medications needed, as well as help with what medications to use if your vet can get a diagnosis. A culture and sensitivity can help if an infection of some sort is found.

Keep us posted.

well my friend told me that there is a vet in stanley(i guess u don't know where that is haha) and he said that although it is a vet for mostly dogs and cats there is one person there who is a specialized in reptiles so i'm gonna c when he's there and bring my snake along.
well i don't think theres smth stuck in the throat because i have had a look inside an she's eating ( with just a bit off difficulty) and i didn't c anything strange
the herpguy at the urban jungle (where i bougth the snake) said that it migth be some sort of fungus but he said that would be a bit unlikely if i have kept the snake in good conditions with enough water and food and the rigth temp. in the vivarium
and since i have done so i think she has some sort of infection but i'm not sure so i'll just take her 2 the vet
thank you for thhe help

Still eating is always a good sign, but since she's having a little trouble, something is definately wrong. I'm glad to hear that you'll be able to take her to a herp vet. Please keep us posted, and good luck!
