Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

redear sliders that "yawns"

hi, a few weeks ago somebody gave me 2 redear sliders. so i went out and bought a 10 gallon turtletank, millenium filter/pump, reptomin, flukers, turtleclean bottle, and clearwater for keeping the water clear. i even gave them feederfish. i feed them 2x a day and they ate like crazy.. now one of them just sits on the turtlerock and "yawns", makes burping sounds but i never see it eat anymore. every so often it goes in the water with the other one, but mostly sits there on the rock and looks like its yawning.
what could be the problem?

It sounds as if your turtle has a RI and you might want to take him to a vet if you care about his well being. Hope everything turns out to be OK.
