Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just picked up this rescue snake from the shelter and I need help identifying him please. He's 6 ft long and in love with me...he keeps trying to mate with my arm. LOL!!

It's a gray ratsnake (Elaphe obsoleta spiloides).
Possibly what is referred to as the "white oak phase" due to the predominance of the lighter coloration.
 
The driver for the shelter thought he was an albino gopher...I laughed about that. I knew he was in the corn and rat family but I couldn't narrow it down any further, especially since he was so huge! Thank you, Clay! :)
 
Clay's right. It's definitely a gray ratsnake (and a nice one!)
They are great snakes....highly underrated in the pet trade if you ask me.
Here's a darker one that I saw in south Georgia last year.

LOL!! Yes, he is adorable. He's got some scaring from nose-rub but he's perfect otherwise. And he's in lurve with me, I tell you! The second I get near him, he starts twitching for me. It's too funny!! So, this is the first rescue snake that I'll be keeping for me. ;)

He was found in a flowerbed on someone's property so who knows how long he was out. They knew he was an escapee because he didn't seem to mind being picked up.
