• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How many skinks do you own?

I own two kaleidoscope major skinks and I cant find much information on them, do you know anything?

I have heard of Major Skinks but not Kaleidoscope, probably a false "Pet shop" name given at random. Major skinks are in the genus Egernia, Egernia frerei comes to mind and is the Major Skink but there are also a lot of other skinks in this genus. Try this link. I own two skinks at the moment, 0.1 Tribolonotus gracilis (Red/Orange Eyed Crocodile Skink) and 0.0.1 Tropihdophorus Apulus (Spiny/Keeled/Water/Crocodile Skink, yes it has many names it goes by.).

I gots 2 T. gracilis. The male seems almost tame, by that I mean he will sit alert on your hand and not try and run for it or close his eyes and go passive. They're cool. I just got the female and she's a skittish runner, which I read was unusual in this species. She needs to fatten up if I'm going to breed them this year.

PS to Steve... maybe I'll be able to IM you this week.

None :(

I've always wanted a bts though. Maybe next year I'll be able to make room. With 100+ leos, 2 chuckwallas, 3 garter snakes, 3 rosy boas, a sharp-tailed snake, CA legless lizard, rough-skinned newt, 6-legged pacific tree frog, 6 tarantuals, and a giant desert hairy scorpion already sharing my room, one more tank would be a tight squeeze ;)
