In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey I am putting this guy up for sale again, I am pretty sure he is a true genetic yellow belly, but I am not sure. He is being offered at $400, instead of $10,000 like on kingsnake.com. If he proves to be genetic, this could be a great and cheap investment. If he isn't, then you you payed the same price as a nice normal. I am going to VA Beach on Monday through Friday, so I won't be able to answer emails.
I am also selling an 0.1 diamond carpet python, nice black and yellow-$120. I am also letting go of 2.1 leopard geckos, 1.0 huge 9 incher, 1.0 normal with a carrotish tail, and 0.1 Blizzard. The Blizzard has been laying for a few months, all fertile except for one.-$100 for the blizzard, $50 for the big guy, $35 for the normal "carrot tail". Last but not least I have 0.2 red tail boas. One is a recovered rescue-$40, the Other is an 03' "Pastel"-$120.

Email me for pictures and other questions,
Steve Bates

Here is a pic

here is a pic of him, he is in shed right now, so the yellow is a little pale. Cameras dont pick up all of the yellow, but it is pretty cool in person.

Thanks!

yes..

I would like to see a pic of his belly as well. I have a cbb '04 female 100% het for Bell line yellow ghost I may be interested in trading. -Diana

hmm...

I think you may have a normal male there. Yellow bellies have patternless bellies usually with checkerboard side patterns. Could you take on last pic like the last one you posted last but closer?

...

Where exactly do you live? Will you be going to the hamburg show this comming weekend? If you are bring him along, I'd like to see him in person. Would you be at all interested in a trade for a cbb '04 female 100% het Bell line yellow ghost?

I will see

I will try my best to be there, but I think I am going to Ohio and Canada with my family for my brothers broadway tour (Oliver!)I dont I will be able to make it, but I will see. I will have to think about the trade, I am more interested in money right now.

No that really is an adult YB

That's Jared Horenstein's adult male YB that he bred this year, in fact he has baby YB's from that male for sale currently. I'm definately sure you have a normal male there. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Gracie I hope you had Jared's permission to use his photo. Sometimes people can get a bit nervous when others use there photography. Copyrights and all.

G'luck selling your big normal male there, he's pretty none the less.

Violette,

This person has been told before that the animal he has for sale is not a Genetic Yellow Belly. IT is a nice looking normal but most defintely not a yellow belly even though it might have a yellow hue to its belly sides. Again Mr. Bates, the animal you have for sale is NOT a Genetic Yellow Belly.

OK??

I never said he was genetic did I? So you can't accuse me of something I did not say Rob. I said he could be, but I wasnt sure. Secondly, he is going for $400, not a rip off of $12,000. There is a difference there. On kingsnake, alot of people sell cool looking normals for thousands, well I dont. If you want a cheap yellowbelly here you go, it could end up being genetic, and you paid $400 instead of 12 grand. And haven't you heard of variations? Yellow bellies could share similar traits with eachother, but they are not always the same. This could be a variation of a Yellowbelly, who knows, but it could still be one none the less. I have had people look at this guy and tell me they wouldnt doubt that this guy is a yellowbelly. And everytime I try to sell him for a decent price, I get critisized. Besides it is not like I am asking thousands for it. Well that is all I have to say. Thanks,
Steve

Then those are the people you should offer him to for $400.

He's a very nice normal, Steve, but I doubt he'll pull $400 for his coloration.

In reality, ANY snake COULD BE het for some sort of morph, but it wouldn't make much sense to sell them all as "possibles" would it?

You'll probably have better luck if you accentuate this animal's strong points and not make speculations on what his genetic make up might possibly be.

Steve,

Lets put it this way. You implied that it was a genetic Yellow Bellie when you were shown pictures of a Genuine Genetic Yellow Belly and then you stated that is a baby and your animal was an adult.

As I said before I don't see a problem with anyone asking what ever price they feel an animal is worth, but label it as a Ball with yellow coloration or something like that, or even "possible Yellow Bellie". The Yellow Bellie morph is a proven, Genetic Morph and by your ad you are trying to imply that yours is. The True Yellow Bellies while yes they can vary, all still have the same characteristics which your animal lacks completely.

Also the reason that the real ones are priced at $10-$25K ea. is they are a proven mutation just like any other proven morph of Ball Python.

Also as to your last statment that you did not say he was genetic, well did you forgot you did say just that?

You left out something

You forgot to add the, "but I am not sure" after that quote, implying that it my not be. Soo as I said before, I never stated that is was a true yellow belly, just that it may be. There is a
hmmmmmmmmmmm for you,
Steve

hmm

Well his screen name is reticulatus74, he looked at it a year ago while we were doing a trade at the havre de grace show, he said he would have bought it himself but didnt have the space. I just looked on kingsnake and found black backs for $200, and a "super reduced, spider looking ball python for $400. I also saw a pair of black backs for $800 !! also a new pastel wannabe just came up, $500 is what he wants. So dont tell me that I am selling a normal for too high of a price. Just go on kingsnake and look for yourself.
