In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

FORT WORTH, Texas -- A man who claimed he was bitten by a rattlesnake in a Brownwood, Texas, Wal-Mart last year is wanted on charges of filing a false report.

Warrants for the arrest of 32-year-old Douglas Wayne Hatchett Junior of Bangs and his girlfriend, 32-year-old Michelle Beam, were filed Wednesday in the Brown County Clerk's office.

The three-count complaint alleges Hatchett and Beam falsely reported an emergency and compromised the safety of others by using emergency services. Bond was set at $2,500 each.

Neither Hatchett nor Beam had been arrested late today. That's what the Abilene Reporter-News reports.

In September, Hatchett reported a rattlesnake bit him in the Wal-Mart shoe department. He was treated with anti-venom at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

If found guilty, Hatchett could face up to a year in the Brown County Jail.

Man who claimed snake bit him arrested

Brownwood-AP -- A man who claimed last year that he was bitten by a rattlesnake in a Wal-Mart in Brownwood was arrested today on charges of filing a false report.

Thirty-two-year-old Douglas Wayne Hatchett Junior of Bangs was arrested by Brown County sheriff's deputies. He was released on 25-hundred dollars bond. That's what the Abilene Reporter-News reports.

Hatchett's girlfriend, 32-year-old Michelle Beam, surrendered to authorities later in the day and also was released on 25-hundred dollars bond.

The two were named earlier in the week in a complaint that alleges they falsely reported an emergency and compromised the safety of others by using emergency services.

Hatchett was treated with anti-venom at a hospital in September after he said he was bitten by a rattlesnake in the Wal-Mart shoe department.

If found guilty, they could face up to a year in the Brown County Jail.
